Pokemon comic! "Saving at an Inconvenient Location".Have you ever thought about what happens to your game sprite when you play, or rather, stop playing? no? okay maybe I'm just weird then.... XD
This comic resulted in me thinking about what happens when you save the game and leave it. The game lets you save at any location, but the game clock keeps going, so it's not really suspending time.
So then I thought how inconvenient it would be for the poor player character if I saved in weird locations like the middle of a snowstorm (route 216 in D/P/Pt), heavy rain (route 33 HG/SS), in the middle of dark caves etc and she's forced to spend the night there XD
I decided the most inconvenient location to spend the night would be while surfing, 'cause any other place you could at least set up a tent or something, but how do you set up a tent in the middle of the water (on top of your poor Pokemon) >__<
The girl is Lyra from HeartGold/SoulSiver, with her Lanturn named Lanna (b/c that's my lanturn's name).

I always save either in a house, a town, or out of the grass. I just feel like I need to be in a place where someone would actually stop to take a break...

ahh i use to get to the nearest bed somewhere and save there, this was in pokemon emerald XD

I've thought the same thing before.
Saving and being stuck on the water would be no prob on a Wailord though; it's big enough for a tent, I'd say.

It would be even funnier if you did that while surfing on a furret, or another pokemon smaller than humans.

yeah, like a Poliwag xD (I don't really know how that works, or how you can fly on a Pidgey); I guess when you surf, the rest of your body is in the water.
Actually Lanturn is smaller than the player (according to the HG Pokedex), but I drew it larger here, like on the surfing sprite XD

I used to save inside a Pokemon Center (RSEFRLG). Now I always save outside a Pokemon Center in the city wear the GTC is in DPPHGSS.

It was thinking like this that often leads me to save in a house of some sort, or in a public place. xD
Once, while in palet town, I even saved while laying in Red's bed. |D
I'm sure his mom didn't mind. xD

Or in an evil team's base. Saving on the ocean would be bad enough, but saving in a place where criminals who use terrorist tactics are running about? They'd probably capture you and steal all your stuff and Pokemon while using you as a hostage or something

haha, that's true, but I think unless you save right in front of an NPC, they probably won't come after you, 'cause after all, NPCs usually only walk back and forth in very limited spaces, if at all XD
