This is my family's dog, Donna --> [link]

She died two days ago at the age of 11, as german shepherds have a rather "short" life expectancy. It was a really tough experience for me as I got, once again in my life, to experience that "love knows not its own depth until the hour of separation." (K. Gibran). I wasn't even home when it happened (I study abroad), I wasn't able to be there when she got sick. But I like to think of it as a positive thing, for now I'll remember her as the healthy, hyperactive and playful dog she always was.

There is an uncountable amount of reasons why I'm going to miss her (and am already) and I'm sure she'll keep her place in my heart forever.
These are some of the things I specially loved about her:

- Since me and my brothers got her when we were 8/9 and her like 3 months old, she grew up with a pretty active, dynamic and playful atmosphere at home and so she got to develop this forever puppy-like personality of hers.

- She was OBSESSED with sticks. She never got over her compulsive need to play catch at all times (even when she was old and got tired after two rounds).

- She just adored every single one of us like crazy. She waged her tail like a helicopter whenever we were around, she was completely obedient and the most noble dog I've ever known.

- She hated the baker. I think she had like a 6th sense to detect him because she used to start barking at him even when his car was still like 800m away from our home. I don't know why she hated him since the guy never did anything to us/her, but it was funny and that way we always knew when our morning bread was coming.

- She did crazy stuff like climbing to this small wall we have in our garden and watching the sunset or eating all sorts of plants or watching impassively as out cat fed out of hew own bowl.

- Her hazel eyes were the physical manifestation of kindness, wiseness and adoration whenever she looked at me.

Artwork itself:

This time I tried a less defined, thick lineart and a kind of new way of drawing and coloring fur.
I like the result, specially because it really does remind me of her.
