Description
pencil on yellow a3 printing paper, no eraser usedthis is a study for a project i'm working on, working title "angel-man-predator".
the two figures are based on photographs of the same person, so I had to improvise a bit with the shadow overlapping in the middle.

You draw realistic people very well! I'm not so good when it comes to realism on people, guess I'll have to practice more. Good job!

thanks for the comment! your right that practice makes perfect, but you also have to respect your own style, its not always the best thing to go with realism, anime or other styles can sometimes be much more appropriate.

Right! what I'm aiming at is a fuse of anime and realism, sort of semi-realistic is my goal. But I always thought it's good to be fluent at drawing realism, because I think it's the foundation of all other kinds of drawings. As for style, my style still changes from time to time, so I guess I'm still trying to settle down, lol. xD

Same with me when it comes to changing style, I don't think I really have a style yet. Just as you say at the moment I'm much more keen on getting proportions right etc. And I understand what about first learning realism before being good in anime, I guess a lot of people think that they can do without it (or worse: go 'abstract' right away).
