Crown of Ariadne
The crown of the Cretan princess Ariadne. She received from the gods as a wedding gift upon her marriage to the god Dionysus. After her death it was set amongst the stars as the constellation Corona.

The overall image works very well but when looking at the individual elements certain things could be improved on.
Because it is monochromatic, it can be quite hard to pick out details as the overall image melds into each other. Though this is not neccessarily negative it might be nice to see the picture with a little more contrast.
With the face, the facial features don't seem to stand out very much and seem quite faded. While this gives it a very gentle look, the eyes are instantly drawn away by the hair and feathers rather then the face being the focal point.
It is also a shame that the eyes don't stand out very much as you seem to really have a good grasp at capturing the emotions with the eyes. I think it would be nice to see a little more luminosity and lustre so that the eyes really call to the viewer just how the stars do.
I quite like the way with the hair you have kept the feather like theme going and immediately makes me think of the heavens because a lot of people associate feathers and stars with the realm of heaven.
Your technique is very good as there aren't too many harsh, straight lines nor is there a predominance of soft, unfocused points. I believe you got the balance really well done with this.
Overall I really do love the gentleness of this piece, it gets across the emotional ties behind its story and I feel that you have conveyed this really well. I can't wait to see even more of your work, keep working at it 😊😊💝

While the overall shading and texture is very well done I feel it could work well with some color.
Not so much changing the entire monochrome/weathered feeling it exudes, but more the idea of accenting or tinting colors so they pop, as the way it is now the form may start blending or falling flat from afar.
Other than that though, and perhaps a minor but noted drooping of the left side of the nose it is all well done. the hair is different, but in a welcome way; a different way. And the lips are very well shaded. The idea to have the constellation it honors peek through the drawing itself and meld to it is also a nice effect to the piece as a whole, i believe.

I really like the choice of tones and colors for this drawing, the only thing that seems odd to me, it's that the composition in general needs a little more definition (for the example in the face and branches around the shoulder I would have put more contrast between lights and shadows, in the hair and in the feathers it needs more details).
For the rest, I like the elements that compose the picture. The background has a good finish and the stars are in the right places, to be a constellation I think it needs some more glitter in the stars.
Even so I really think it would be a drawing I would buy or see in a museum, because even if you don't change anything, it is extraordinary as it is.

Lovely unique concept to play on, plus a great execution with a strong foreground. The use of minimal color is a nice touch but I feel like it mutes the contrast between the foreground and the background design, so it seems a bit like the foreground and background are fighting for attention. Same with the star decoration, the stars on the crown seem to be struggling with the stars around it for central focus. Personally I would try and use less conflicting textures (for example the feather texture vs the blurred skin texture) but I can see that some people would find that appealing. Still, absolutely lovely idea and nicely executed, very beautiful. Hope I was helpful.

First off, This is a pretty big improvement from what I have seen from you previously. Great use of color to bring out little highlights in the piece, and the grey is a very nice way to demonstrate the emotion of the painting. The lips are well put together, and the very soft tones on the face and skin are well put together, and the contrast against the hair is really well executed. A little harsh critique, I would have liked to see a little more detail in the eye, making it pop out like you did with the stars.
Next, This background is incredible. Really good contrast in terms of how It shows up on it's own, but it could have been either a little darker or a little lighter to contrast the character them self. The sepia tones were a really good choice, A little more detail in the feathers to the immediate right of the character could have been helpful.
One last little note, I love the concept behind this piece, and I really love how the hair looks. This is a really well done over-all piece.

Instead of black and white, I would like to see this image with a version with tons of dark blue and a gradient of purple. The character's skin could be with tons of blue, not to much: it could be a saturated blue so it wouldnt feel to of, and the background with gradients of purple maybe even with vivid red from the bottom. the light spots could show even more if you use a lighter color, but this would only be to be seen in the diferent colors, on the other hand Im not sure if it would be necessary to change that point.
