The Windows Wallpaper Wiki (@WinWallpWiki on Twitter) has been collecting the highest resolution versions of Windows wallpaper images available. This task has required many stock photo purchases, and lots of digging. Unfortunately, many of the images included in Windows releases are digital art, often made internally at Microsoft, for which no high resolution counterpart exists. While I can’t be as good as the original, I did my best to make these XP era images high resolution. I recreated what I could, and upscaled/smoothed what I couldn’t. I also made them all 16:10 widescreen. I hope you find them useful for VMs or legacy machines you may have that run Windows XP. Or at the every least, I hope they are fun to look at.
