Description
This photo was taken specially for the Scavenger Hunt Contest [link]The quote that inspired it is:
"I am always doing that which I cannot do, in order that I may learn how to do it." ...attributed to Picasso, found on paintalicious.org
I have a drive to create in a variety of areas...the above is writing a jig...it is a process of going back and forth using the tin whistle and piano and writing down the manuscript in bits and pieces, editing till I feel it's finished. I don't know how to write a jig, but I use the knowledge I have and work with it.
I do the same when I am creating a photo. The scavenger hunt themes have challenged me to go beyond what I am used to, so in the process, I grow and learn.
In each area there are skills involved, practical considerations, trial and error, serendipity, inspiration and just plain effort. But it's very exciting, energizing and rewarding!

Does 'writing a jig' equals 'composing' it? Or, n other words, do you compose music on your own? ^^

Yes, actually "composing" is a better term...I just didn't think of it at the moment. I do compose my own music for flute or tin whistle from time-to-time. I would like to do more!

Oh, I'm doing the composing thing myself and find it hard to write the notes.
Wow, you are very artistic, congratulations and keep the work!

That is so neat! Sometimes it's not an easy thing to do, though. I would love to hear what you have composed...do you have clips anywhere? Do you sing or play an instrument(s)? Do you have a particular style you like?
Some of my music has been recorded, but I don't have clips up yet.
I hope you will keep up your creative talents, too. You definitely are artistic. Sometimes it's difficult to stop creating.

Oh, I only have recorded some things, I'm not into making clips, actually. I'd love to share somehow ^
I'm very fond of the Baroque, overall Classical music.
I sing, I sang in a choir for 8 years, recently quit. I've been learning how to play the piano for an year or something.

It would be interesting to hear each other's music...maybe sometime.
I like some Baroque and Classical...I also am fond of old-style jazz, blues and I find celtic addictive.
