Trying something new, looks like it's working, feeling good about it. The face on the reference is slightly tilted so a bit worried about that, but it's all practice and not serious so I am not too bothered about it. I just draw on what I have and was taught in art college to stay way from small work areas and go big or go home so that just kind of stuck with me I guess LoL But in general I draw on anything, my mission is to do empty the A3 sketchpad I got with portraits so that's really the only reason all my stuff is A3. To be perfectly honest I am surprised at how much life i'm getting out of the eyes the last couple of sketches, creeps me out to tell you the truth LoL

Aaah, I see. Eyes. Ok, you have me guessing still. I'm liking the deep shadows of the right eye and the texture in the eyebrows look good. How do you feel about it yourself?

Do you usually use A3 paper? I've only ever done A4 or smaller sized drawings. It's never even crossed my mind, I could use a bigger paper. Golly... bet an A3 would fit a lot more detail, but ooooh all that colouring... crikey.

It's great when trying something new proves a good idea. I can see the difference in the eyes. You're getting that moist glistening in there, a sharper focus in the gaze... Definite progress. Can't wait to see it finished!! I need to consider trying A3 too. Might be possible, even for me. LOL!

Thanks for the feed back, just not getting time to work on it, people keep bothering me. I should become a hermit!

People. Always in the way. Hermitness is recommendable for that problem. I've just been painting the studio walls all day. I also have uniquely impressionist & unintentional form of white & brown bodypainting on myself now.

That tends to happen when painting a studio. A hot bath and wine remedies said problem lol
