He's a human, and humans make mistakes.
Like you are by encouraging suicide.
The difference? You feel no remorse for telling someone to kill themself.
What TJ said there is against his OWN beliefs, so it's obvious he lost his cool and said something stupid, like EVERY OTHER FUCKING PERSON ON THE PLANET has before. I'm not defending what he said - it was a terrible thing to say.... but not worthy of death and depression....

I don't think you should be telling anyone to "kill themselves"..... IMO, that's worse than saying someone deserves rape. You're saying they deserve suicide, and all the pain and depression that comes with it.

You ever felt a noose around your neck, seconds away from ending it all? I have... and it's the worst time in my life... even worse than the time my mother's friend molested me...

You're a dirty hypocrite for thinking telling someone to "kill themselves" is OK.

I'm sorry that you've been through those things. I have too. 

I've been raped multiple times and almost strangled to death by my first boyfriend and I tried to end it all. I've tried to kill myself many times over the years because the trauma was almost too much for me to bear. 

That is why I hate people like the Destressed Watcher. He is a horrible horrible person and the reason why I said what I said was because I wanted him to feel what it's like to be robbed of your innocence and your will to live. 

I was probably a little harsh but I was angry. The worst period of my life is a joke to people like him and that is hurtful. 

For me personally, living with the trauma of rape and violence was much much worse than the times when I tried to end myself. It was so easy to do it. The only thing that kept me from jumping off that building or hang my self from the hose in the shower or running out in the middle of traffic was the fact that I didn't want my loved ones to suffer because of me. That was the only thing. 

If I hadn't had family and friends or my new boyfriend I would probably not be alive right now. 

For me dying was the easy part. The hard part was living. It's still hard. I don't think it'll ever get easy once you've been through stuff like that but in my mind dying will always be the easy part.

I'm sorry that my words hurt you though. I didn't realize that the way I feel about those things could be completely different to somebody else.

You said something that hurt people out of anger, and you regret it.
I'm pretty sure TJ regrets and doesn;t stand by what he said.
You all just responding to it like you are is just as disgusting as the original comment.
TJ has stated multiple times that he thinks rape is a terrible, terrible thing.
It's not just lip service, I'm sure he actually believes what he says...

You making light of someone killing themselves is pretty much just as bad, if not worse, than him saying someone deserves rape.
And, like him, you said it out of frustration and anger and didn't mean it.

Maybe your severed head should be on this rocket, hm?
And maybe you should have people telling you that you should "kill yourself"... would it be justified?
The only reason it doesn't happen is because you're not in the public's eye. If you were popular, you'd be in almost the same boat as him for comments like that.

I still love TJ, even though he made a mistake.
Even if I didn't like him, I'd never sink to the level of this artist.... or sink to the level that thinks someone should suicide just because they made a mistake in anger and frustration....

We're all human here. We all make mistakes. But if you're in the spotlight, people will tear you to shreds over everything you do wrong... always watching, always judging, waiting for you to fuck up....

Like I said, I didn't realize that people could think that dying would be worse than living with extreme trauma. 

I only have my own experience and I felt like living was harder than dying. It was silly of me to think that it would be the same thing for everyone else on this planet and for that I'm sorry. 

But you judging me for thinking that death is easier than living because you feel the exact opposite makes me think that you aren't that high and mighty yourself. 

I've given you an apology and explained to you my point of view and you still act like I'm a devil because you can't look past your own point of view. 

I've learned my lesson. Are you able to do the same here or will you keep on bashing me for having a different opinion on life and death than you do, huh?

I'm just pointing out that TJ isn't as much of a bad guy as you all seem to think he is, and you making that mistake proves it.
TJ believes death and murder is worse than rape.
And so do I.... I was molested... it fucked me up... and once I thought I'd be better off dead because of it... I couldn't stop thinking of that old man's body pressed up against mine... and how powerless and scared I was... and how I was in foster care at the time... I felt like killing myself would make it all stop... but now I look back and realize that it was terrible that I almost made that mistake...

...I'm not demonizing you. I'm holding up a mirror to show you that we're all demons sometimes....

Thanks for your concern... but there is no need to punish that poor soul further.
He was a depraved man, very sick in the mind... I know you think it's righteous to punish and torture, but I never have.
It's a primitive emotional response to anger, much like you thinking TJ should kill himself. We all do it... but it never really helps.
It just hurts people more and more...

Honestly, I wish more people would focus more on recovery and rehabilitation than retaliation and revenge

It happened on this Reddit messageboard where he got into a spat with a feminist who was also a rape survivor, and after being called out on some anti-feminist things he said, TJ made a bunch of graphic threats towards that redditor, claiming that she deserved to be raped and he would rape her himself, among a lot of other ugly things. And like the moronic "class act" he is, he claimed to be joking and whined on Youtube once again about how people were mean to him, even after he initiated that flame war.

In other words, TJ shot himself in the foot. The result was a lot (and I mean a buttload) of atheist bloggers and v-loggers on Youtube either calling him out on being an asshole and/or cutting off all associations with him, and former defenders of his from TGWTG basically saying that he was dead to them now.

It was, all in all, an ugly mess and something I doubt anyone is ever going to let him live down. Though really, does he deserve any sympathy after saying THAT?
