outta curiosity, in your verse do the events of the sequel take pace (if not all then for the most part) or do you have something else going on?? bc i don't care for kovu/kiara much but i'm hella curious how vitani swooced in on the soft girl 👀

yeah i'm not a mega fan of kovu/kiara either, it happened way too fast imo and they were still rly young :c
the events of TLK2 happened but with some parts altered; as in Kiara was born in a litter with Kopa but Kopa was born after, meaning Kiara was future queen.
She met Kovu but Vitani slipped away from Nuka's sight too and joined them for the whole crocodile thing.
Kiara occasionally found Vitani skulking around the Pridelands as they grew up, she always chased her out but not before 'Tani could throw some remarks her way. They didn't really see each other much as they grew into adults, so when the battle for the pridelands happened Vitani saw Kiara and didn't wanna fight her cause she had a BIG FAT crush on her
AFTER the events of TLK2 kovu often came to his sister for advice and guidance even though she didn't give him much, where eventually he revealed that he might not have been very faithful to kiara and that he didnt wanna rule. Vitani got into a big fight with him and a few weeks later he ran away like a coward.
after a lot of half-hearted arguing with kiara, vitani appointed herself her, and her cub's, bodyguard. because they spent so much time together they had a lot of pointless arguments and kopa remarked that they were like an old married couple (just a lesbro helping tani out with her crush) and it made kiara think on how she really felt around and for vitani and their relationship bloomed from there
