my arm was dead XD but i usually spend 1-2 hrs on simple stuffs anyway so its not that long... the background took a bit XD ;-;

I was terrible at backgrounds to ;-; but i just did studies of trees n rocks XD and then chose my GCSE topic thing in art to be landscapes XD it was a bad move. lol so i am just practicing a poop tonne of stuffs now ;-; 
Just keep practicing and you will be amazing ^ ^

Ah thank you! I keep trying lol, I really wish I could get better at background trees. They would help a lot in my work. >_<

have you tried referencing from images? or you could have a gander at some tutorials on trees, there's tonnes on here.

Yeah lol I've done all that. My problem is I'm restricted to just two programs, Firealpaca and GIMP. Neither of which I'm good at using XD I just know the basics. I have both photo shop and paint tool SAI but they prove to be difficult for me.

it took me so long to use sai ;-; it is quite complicated (but then i cant even use windows paint right XD) I looked up the bits n pieces on youtube or layers, the layer types, brushes, changing settings etc. Its hard at first but it gets easier the more you use it.
i just randomly mess about with things on it XD i still dont know how to use it all.... ah well XD
