Just for the record, the above photo was taken before JD - *djailledie 's pic, Red Attraction .He traveled one year and eleven months back in time, and posted his version of the photo before I could.

Two steps to your right and you have it. This will close the gap between him and the bike. This will not only reduce the negative space in the middle but will also create a better connection with the repeating reds. Also would give the rhs side of the frame some room to breathe.

I took this while climbing down the steps of the local bank.
There was column on my left and a tree to my right, so movement was somewhat restricted.
I also wanted to time my shot - oneshot 
in the perfect position to do so - as he was walking really fast - notice the shape of his pants' side pocket and the way
he's holding the mobile device closer to his chest?
I rather like the grey space between them as it makes both the subjects stand out
on their own (grey always goes well with red) and forms a nice triangle too.

Btw, that hat he's wearing, it's called 'Dastar' or 'Pag' - a type of turban worn by followers of Sikhism.
All Sikhs, especially the Amritdhari (the baptized ones) are required to wear them as a symbol of their faith.
