This has all the elements of LIGHT , TEXTURE AND COLOR !!!!!! Reminds me very much of hard working middle class life . The only thing missing is some children with their pets on the front steps . The elements of color , direct the viewers eye to specific parts of the image and the geometric shapes on the structure create symmetry . I find myself looking to find somebody or something looking out one of the apartment windows . Where is Misses Kravitz ,the nosy , busy body neighbor , watching everything that happens in the neighborhood ???? A simple , direct , impactful image that causes you to be introspective and reflective !!!!!

this is as much a period piece, as it is a piece of art.
love the brown color palette interrupted by the red umbrella and her bonus red blouse. it is the clever twist that makes it work. I will never believe the timing was random. but I would believe it came to be without setup.
I dislike the air conditioning units, but all the more for the two newer units. I would have blocked out the name logo on the one, but then it wouldn't have been a street documentary.
I would like to know more of how it came to be photographed, and possible where.
lastly I think the black bands, top and bottom, frame it all dramatically. great attention was given to horizontal and vertical correctness.
