No, no, NO! That hourglass shape will not do! For some reason, people like to put female characters in armor into the same hourglass shape. I ask you, is that armor going to provide sufficient protection from temperatures over 400 degrees? From razor sharp talons by dragons? From lasers that focus an intense amount of heat and radiation into a single pulse?
Fact is, if she were truly well-armored, her figure would barely show. The armor would hide it so as to provide defense, as plate armor did in its day. Samus takes no chances, so of course she's going out in the strongest armor to withstand hazardous envirnoments.
Besides, I like my Samus flat and muscly. That's how she was in Metroid Fusion and I still love the Fusion Suit.

Many people would never suspect a woman would be in that kind of suit(not meaning the shape of it!). I didn't at first when I was little. when I first played Smash bros on the 64. Then I found out later, I think when I got Smash Bros Brawl. LOL!
