“Stagecoach”

This stagecoach was donated to the Oklahoma Historical Society in 1922 by Joe C. Miller of the Miller Brothers 101 Ranch. It was used in their Wild West shows.

It was manufactured by Abbot-Downing Coach in Concord, New Hampshire, and is known as a “Concord Coach.”

Before it was owned by the Miller Brothers, this stagecoach belonged to D. R. Green, also known as “Cannonball” Green. From 1870 to 1880, D. R. Green owned a stage line operating from Kingman, Kansas to points west. He also operated this stagecoach in Oklahoma Territory. The route ran from Oklahoma City to Frisco, Reno City, Darlington, and Fort Reno.
