For those of you who haven't heard, Namco recently revealed that the Wii remake is coming to the US, and they also asked Klonoa fans in a survey if they prefered Klonoa's original design or a wierdified bat-cat version of him, seen here: [link] I really don't like it. I mean, it's OK, but I think it's too drastic of a change. They took away the two things that made Klonoa extremely unique, his hat and ears, and now he looks like a generic anthro character. Hopefully he'll stay the way he is. The majority of people I've seen said that they like the old version better, so that's good. It would be better if the redesign was an alternate costume or something. In this comic I drew about it, Klonoa is talking on his cell phone to a Namco business guy, who informs Klonoa about the Wii remake. Then he tells Klonoa about the redesign, which he notices is the thing in front of him, and he flips out.PART1: [link]

i watched hte trailer (as said in last comment) in japan at least its the real Klonoa!
and i doubt the fans will want to change his cutness .....Otherwise Namecos on my death list after i take over SEGA XD

Well hey, catbats are awesome, but Klonoa's no catbat.
He's been his floppy-eared Phantomilian self for the past decade-- I don't see why they would completely change him all of a sudden, especially with the rerelease of the original game!

Wow I didn't think they were serious, til I did the research. I was like WTH! Well, I had to agree that I do like that the clothing looks like they put more into it than the japan one, but I like his older version the best. LOL! That's one of the reasons I play the series. His old design is a lot cuter. Overall, they should stick with the old design with the new fad clothes XD. Mix it! ^.^

Oh! I see... well not exactly, but I think I got the general idea. It is true though that it would be a lot of things to do to get the raw version. I just hope they don't change him at all. I would like the clothes on the new one to be on the old design becuase it seems they put more into it (except the small shoes). Other than that, he should be the same. People keep getting it through the emails. Too bad not every fan is informed about it.
