I had trouble identifying this one but I think I got it right.Pipevine Swallowtail MD

Habitat: moist woods, fields
Host plant: Dutchman's Pipe Vine, Virginia Snakeroot
Broods: 3, Apr.-Sept.
Note: formerly rare in our area [MD] but since gardeners have been planting the host, this butterfly is more widespread; males are all black, females are dark iridescent blue; this species is the poisonous model of a large mimicry system which includes Spicebush Swallowtail, female dark form Tiger Swallowtail, Red Spotted Purple and female Eastern Black Swallowtail
....wow...I'd hate to be their preditor. One wrong choise in your meal and your dead....eeek. Oh ya, butterflies that are poisonous will only kill you/hurt you if you eat it. So no eatting the butterflies!!!
