As I flip through the pages
     I can’t help but utter a squeak
          at the sight of my love.
His hot temper
     matches his carrot orange hair,
          and the burning desire to win within his eyes.
He is cursed by fate
     to always be left out of his family,
          and to always loose to that scampering rat.
His true form
     is ugly and frightening,
          scaring even his mother to death…
I can’t help but wonder
     how this adorable little cat
          could be hated so much?
His short temper,
     lit up like a match,
          is so cute to watch…
His huggability
     is nonexistent,
          as he tries to wriggle out of locked arms around him.
His face is perfect,
     every shade of orange, every line…
How could his father hate him,
     and his mother lie to him,
          just to die because of it?
