Chapter 1: No Witness

Deep within neutral territory of the galaxy, a damaged Elites light cruiser slowly makes it way with what little power it has to the engines. The crew of the ‘Prisma’ had narrowly escaped a surprise attack by the enclave, on their route to deliver weapons and supplies to an outpost that requested the supplies. As the cruiser continues to lose power, it was coming up to a planet named Sephiria. Mysteries surround this planet from the inhabitances to the terrain of the planet, though no one has ever step foot on the planet to investigate and explore the planet with its unique and wonderful places that can be seen from space.

On board the ‘Prisma’, the captain of the cruiser decided they have no choice but to make a emergency landing on Sephiria and try to repair as much as they can so they could at least deliver and get to a shipyard to fully repair their cruiser.

All around the Cruiser, several crew members were battling fires, repairing key systems, and working on restoring power to the Cruiser’s defense turrets. As this going on, the soldiers were prepping to create a defensive position around the Cruiser when it lands on the planet surface after the captain told the crew they are making a emergency landing on a nearby planet.

“We have several dead crew members after the attack, but we’re still holding up.” The captain was talking with a Communication officer at the Elites main Military base on Zavala on a holo-screen. “I will give you updates once we’ve made the repairs needed to continue on our mission. Luckily the bastards didn’t hit the cargo bay where the weapons and supplies are stored; otherwise we would be gone a long time ago.”

“Just be careful captain, that planet has not been explored at all yet.” The anthro Jackal seems to be concern about the captain’s choice to make an emergency landing on an unexplored planet. “Take extreme precaution once you landed, if there is any sign of trouble; get out of there immediately.”

“Don’t worry, we’ll be fine once we landed and patch up the cruiser the best we can. Once that’s done, we’ll be taking off and continue our way to the outpost. We won’t be staying long, though to keep the Enclave from knowing our position; we’ll be going dark until we are underway and in Elite Territory.”

“Alright then, good luck captain.” Once the call has ended, the captain turn off the holo-screen and look out the bridge window as the Cruiser slowly makes it way down onto the planet surface to a uninhabited area; or so they think.

Once the cruiser has landed, several squads were station around the cruiser to keep an eye out for anything that could force them to take off. The engineers inside the cruiser had to shut off power to the whole ship in order to work on the engines and other systems on board.

Little does the crew and soldiers of the ‘Prisma’ know that they were being watch from the shadows as figures watch the soldiers every move.

Soon night time has fallen as the crew on board the cruiser continues to work, patching the ship up. Meanwhile, some of the squads have started campfires to keep them warm and have some light in the darkness of night. In the shadows however, the figures soon devise a plan long before night fall and waits until the right time to attack.

One by one, the soldiers of each squad was taken out swiftly and ruthlessly by sneaking up to those soldiers in the shadows then spring for the kill. Once the sentries was taken out, the quietly enter the cruiser to kill every single crew member inside.

Inside the bridge, the captain was talking to an officer about where to go next when they heard screaming and gunfire coming from the closed door of the bridge.

“What the hell is going on?” The captain went over to console and pick up a radio to contact the crew and soldiers that are on board the ship and outside.

“This is the captain, what the bloody hell is going on?”

“We’re under attack by unknown forces! They breach the defensive and are in the cruiser right now! We need…” before the soldier on the other end could finish his sentence, he let out a loud painful screaming before the radio went dead.

The captain then looks over to an engineer and ordered him to wield the doors shut in case whoever is attack the cruiser comes up to the bridge.

As the Engineer wield the doors shut, the captain contact all units on board to hold their ground and fend off the intruders who seems to slip pass the sentries. However, they now are in a situation where they are stuck with an unknown enemy on board and no way to get out with the power offline.

Throughout the night, several squad reports through the radio to their captain that the unknown enemy has breach their defensive and then no answers or updates came from that squad. Now with the squad in the cargo bay KIA, the only held position on the cruiser was the bridge with 2 squads and a few crew members with handguns and SMGs.

“Be on your guard… their close…” The captain paused as he heard several bangs coming from the wielded doors as the soldiers and crew members that are left aim their weapons at the door. Everything seems very tense as the banging soon stops which causes some to look at each other, wondering what will happen next.

Suddenly, there was an explosion as the doors peeled open as several arrows came flying through the now open door; striking at a few soldiers, killing them instantly.

“HOLD YOUR GROUND!” the captain order as the soldiers and the crew members fire their weapons at the door.

In the ventilation shaft above them, a figure watch as it removes the panel then after looking for which one to choose to attack, picks an anthro fox crew member with a pistol. It whips out his long tail which wraps around the fox’s neck and began to pull him up.

The captain turn around when he heard the anthro fox crew member yelp. He saw a long green tail coming out of the vents, lifting the fox up as it seems it was choking him. “They’re in the vents!”

The captain fires a few rounds from his SMG at the tail, causing it to release the fox and retreat back into the vents. Suddenly, he heard screaming from behind as he turn around to see each one of the soldiers and crew member that are left being killed left and right by a strange whip with blades attack to it.

Looking towards the end of the whip, he could see someone standing in front of the corpses of the soldiers and crew with a menacing look. The captain raised his gun up to fire at the figure, ready to squeeze the trigger when the figure fling his strange whip at the captain, wounding him greatly to the torso area.

Falling back on to a console, the captain grip his open wound as the figure slowly walk up to him, taking out his two swords after putting away his strange whip. Looking around, he can already tell that all the soldiers and crew of the ‘Prisma’ are all dead as it seems whoever these people are, doesn’t care for hostages.

Unable to defend himself, the two blades crosses each others as middle of the two crossed swords came up to his neck. He looks up to the figure as he could now see what he truly looks like up close. To his surprise, he looks like a large anthro snake but his clothing look nothing like the ones he seen before.

“Why are you doing this? Why kill my crew?” The captain watch as the large anthro snake just smiled darkly as he grips his swords firmly. The snake only had one thing to say to the captain as he have done this a lot before him.

“No Witness.”

And with that, the snake quickly kills the captain and watches as the body fall limb onto the ground. He smiled as he turns to what was left of his follows. He then looks over to what the crew and soldiers were using which gave him an idea for their next weapon development.

“It’s so nice for them to give us an idea for our next weapon project.” several shadowy figures chuckled darkly. “We shall take what he has learned from this battle and put it into our development and destroying these so that no one can get their hands on them. Starting tonight, the hezkas will rise and to take revenge to the ones that murder out brothers and sisters!”

The hezkas that are with the leader of them cheered out as they are pleased that they are going to develop a new type of weapon for their small army. Once they have destroyed every single weapons, the Hezkas head back to into the shadows to develop their own weapon to take revenge to the ones that tried to eliminate them; the Drakatos.
