Chapter 1: The Beginning of the Phoenix

The capital city of the planet Zavala, Zevanu City, is the home of the Mighty Elites and the center of the galaxy order. Each of the buildings have an elegant designs to them, giving them each their own unique style from the rest of the buildings. In the center of the city was a huge round building and gardens all around it, this is the Senate building, the heart of the Elites where Senators from every systems comes to discuss politics and agreements with each other or the Supreme Chancellor of the Senate.

Wolf, son of Admiral Scotty and Supreme Chancellor Luna, was on a maglev train that was going through the city on it’s way to the Elite Academy, where cadets goes before becoming a member of the Elite Military and trained to be the next defenders of peace. The Academy was big and elegant to give it a very unique design that have been inspired by many different cultures across the galaxy. The main building of the Academy was 5 story tall which is where most of the classes are held as well as the main hall, mess hall, Recreational room, Conference rooms, Administration, and a Grand Library. behind the main building was a training field as well as vehicle depots and landing pads, on the left and right were Barracks where the Cadets would be living during their time at the academy.

Walking through the entrance of the Main Hall, Wolf looks around the stunning and spacious main lobby, as well as the opening and bridge-ways between each of the 5 floors of the building. After getting a good look around the Main Hall, Wolf head over to the Administration Office where he is to meet the Head of the Academy to get enrolled and start his journey to become like his father.

Entering the Admin office, Wolf took a quick look around before heading over to the front desk. "Excuse me ma'am? Is the Head of the Academy free?"

The anthro female otter looks up to Wolf when he spoke then look at the schedule to see if he was free. "He does, but he has a meeting with the Elite Council in a couple of hours."

"Do you think I could have a talk with him about enrolling in the Academy? I'm Admiral Scotty's son."

The female otter eyes widen and her mouth open slightly as she was surprised. "Of course! I'll go let him know" She said as she got up and went over to the Head's office.

She approach the door and knock on it. "Excuse me sir, you have a special visitor wishes to be enrolled in the academy."

Toshiro, a anthro male fox, with green headfur and wearing a black robe with a white sleeveless robe over it as well as a turquoise slash across his torso, looks up from his work that he is preparing for the upcoming meeting "send them in" he said.

The door open to reveal the otter assistant then in came Wolf, wearing his casual clothing and approach Toshiro. "Hello Headmaster, I'm Wolf; Son of Admiral Scotty and Supreme Chancellor Luna. I wish to enroll in the Academy sir", he said as he stood at attention in front of Toshiro's desk.

With a slight grin on his face, Toshiro asks "So, you want to join my Academy? What are your reasons for wanting to join my Academy?"

"To follow in my father's footstep sir." Wolf replied as he look at Toshiro with great confidence

"So tell me, as my memory seems to be lacking, what great things has your father done that impressed you the most while in my Academy?" The Headmaster says with his hand folded on the desk

"He's the founder of the Elites sir. He, along with Admiral Rivers, are head of the Elite Council. I look up to him and want to do great things, not only for the Elites, but for the Galaxy."

"Well, I am very glad to hear that you want to do a great many things for the galaxy, but I what makes you think that you are qualified to enter my academy?" Toshiro said with his fingers interlaced at the front of his muzzle

"I might be the son of a founder and a Supreme Chancellor, but I'm not using the fame of my father and mother to get me in. I have been working hard to meet the qualifications that you have set for the Academy sir." Wolf said as he put his hands behind his back.

"What are you doing? Did I give you the order to go to at ease?" he said with a slight scowl on his face

"Sorry sir", Wolf said as he go to the attention position. "I still learnin as I go sir. but I hope that the Academy can help me learn about the military better."

"That it can, young man" the scowl fading from Toshiro face "How old are you son?"

"I'm 20 years old in Lupin years sir."

"Well, I will have you go and talk to one of my recruiters to see about getting you trained up and ready for boot camp"

"Yes sir! I promise that I won't disappoint you Headmaster”, Wolf said, nodding to Toshiro.

"If you don't mind, I have some pressing matters to attend to before the meeting I have this evening, you are dismissed" Toshiro says as he gets back to his work.

"Of course sir, I wish you good luck with my father and the council this evening." With that, he saluted to Toshiro before heading out of the Headmaster office and to the recruiting office in the Admin Wing

Wolf made his way over to the recruiting office when he heard some argument coming from the entrance of the office. He went to check it out to see a 20 year old human male with short black hair, wearing a light black muscle shirt, camo pants, and combat boots with a group of cadets wearing presses cadet uniforms with one of them one the ground. The one that was in front of the group was looking at the one on the ground with an ice cold expression as he put his fist into the palm of his other hand, which gives Wolf the idea that the cadets were trying to pick a fight with the human.

The human watch as the anthro jackal picked himself off the floor. "So... Did I manage to get some sense knock into you... or do you want another helping?..."

The jackal growled as he started to go through a punch until he felt someone grabbing his arm. When he turn around, he saw Wolf holding his arm with a stern look on his face. "If I would suggest, I think you should take his suggestion and leave..."

"Just who do you think you are kid?!" The jackal asked as he was trying to get out of the new recruit's grip.

"The name's Wolf, son of Admiral Scotty and Supreme Chancellor Luna. Now I highly suggest you beat it before you regret it."

This causes the jackal and his friends to be in shock at who was standing in front of them. After Wolf let go of the jackal, he and his friends started to walk away from Wolf and the human.

"I can handle the likes of those punks on my own... you don't have to butt in..." the human said as he turn away from Wolf.

"Trust me, Its people like those that think highly of themselves... kinda gives a bad name to the Elites." Wolf looks over to the human. "I guess you already know my name, so what's your's?"

The human was silent at first as if he doesn't want to talk at all. He then look over his shoulder and finally said, "... Bear..."

"Nice to meet you Bear. I take it you want to join the Academy as well?"

"Hmph... you can say that..."

"I see, say why don't we form a group? We could help each other out during our time in the academy." Wolf said as he watch Bear think it over.

"Not sure... I don't think I will do good in groups..."

"Nonsense Bear, I'm sure we could do good for others. Protecting the galaxy from those who wish to do harm." He watch as Bear turn around to face him then look away for a moment before giving a smirk.

"Hm... I guess you right... but let me remind you that I am not a gently type..."

"Alright then, lets head in." With that, both Wolf and Bear enter the recruitment office to join the academy.

Inside, the two were sitting in the waiting room as they wait for their turn to speak with a recruiter about joining the academy. While Wolf was reading a book, Bear just sat in his seat with his arms crossed in front of him as if he was a statue. Across from them was a female human with brown long hair tied up in a ponytail wearing a white and blue sleeve shirt, blue jeans, and grey shoes reading a book about medical science and next to her was a human male wearing a green t-shirt, brown pants with a light brown knee patch, black boots, and wears a pair of dog tags around his neck. He was sitting back with his legs extended and his hands behind his head, humming a tone while waiting for his turn to talk with a recruiter.

The female next to him turned a page then let out a surprised gasp as she drop the book to reveal scary looking picture. Wolf and Bear raised an eyebrow at this as they head laughing coming from the male that was relaxed.

“Oh man, you should have seen the look on your face”, he laughed.

The female gave an annoyed look towards the male next to him and crosses her arm. “Very funny…”

Wolf look to the two and said, “I must admit, I do seen better ways for scaring someone.”

The male laughing stops and look over to Wolf. “Oh come on, you have to admit it was good!” He smiled as he got up, went over to Bear and Wolf, and held his hand out. “Name’s Dog!”

Bear grunted as he kept his arms folded in front of his chest while Wolf reached out and grab a hold of Dog’s hand.

“My name is Wolf”, he said as he shook hands with Dog.

“Nice to meet you… Say aren't you the Admiral’s and Supreme Chancellor’s son by chance?”

“Of course he is Dog”, the female said as she removed the inserted paper from the book she was reading and toss it into a garbage can. “Even knows that Wolf is a very unique person, even in the medical and science field.”

“Oh come on, I rather build and fix things, as well as driving and piloting vehicles, than trying to learn every part of the body and the very complexity of operating.”

The female sighed as she shook her head. “Then I’m glad you're not a medic.”

“Hey, I just saying that being a doctor isn't my thing that’s all.”

“I see…”, the female then looks over to Wolf and Bear, “I’m Bluejay, if you are wondering about my name.”

“Nice to meet you Bluejay”, Wolf said as he motion towards Bear, “This is Bear, though he doesn't seem to be quite a conversationalist.”

“No… I am not…” Bear replied as he leans back and close his eyes.

Just then the door open up to reveal another human male entering the recruitment office. He wore a green jacket with a white t-shirt underneath, blue jeans, grey boots, black gloves, and a pair of dog tags around his neck. In his hand was a paper that happens to be an acceptance letter to join the Academy. While the other three were busy chatting or trying to get Bear into the conversation, Wolf got up and went over to the human.

“I see that you've been accepted in the Academy”, he said as he hold out his hand, “Name’s Wolf.”

“Ah yes, Wolf, Son of Admiral Scotty and Supreme Chancellor Luna of the Elites. I've read about you and find you quite interesting. Though never expect to see you in the flesh.” The human took Wolf’s hand and shook it, “I’m Fox, a Hacker and a Techie.”

“Huh, I guess that’s explain how you know me.”

“Yeah, I tend to do things that my colony doesn't want me to do. Though always love the challenge when it comes to tech”, Fox smiled then looks over Wolf shoulder to see the three behind him.

Wolf notices then and smiled. “Come on, I’ll introduce you to the rest.”

After Fox was introduced to Bear, Bluejay, and Dog, the four waited until their turn was called up while Fox talks about himself. During this, another human male enter; though his attire was nothing compare to casual wears. He wore on his head a black bandanna and around his neck was a olive green shemagh. He wear a long green shirt with a black vest over his torso with brown pockets to hold his magazines and gear, as well as one that is on his upper left arm and right leg. He also wore black pants, back gloves, and black combat boots.

He looked over to the group and approaches them while Dog was telling the others about how much he doesn’t understand the sniper role. “I mean, Come on, what’s so special about snipers anyway?”

“Perhaps its because we hit our targets from greater distance than others and be completely hidden while doing so”, the human spoke, causing Dog to jump in surprise while the others look at the newcomer.

“DON’T YOU DO THAT!” Dog then look over to the others and see that they weren't as surprise as he was, “How long did you know he was there?!”

“For a bit. Though it was quite funny to see you jump like that”, Fox said as he chuckled a bit.

Bear grin a bit and scuffed. “Heh… Looks like someone is scared of behind sneak up on…”

“Haha… very funny Bear…” Dog said looking annoyed to Bear.

Wolf looks over to the human and was puzzled. “Are you a cadet here in the Academy?”

“No, I’m not. I came from planet Amerish to join the Elites. Name’s Hawk.”

“Nice to meet you Hawk.” Wolf said and introduced to the others.

Soon the five were listening to Hawk as he explained about his life on Amerish and the combat that he have seen. They were amazed that he manage to get behind enemy lines and took out a rogue gang leader then disappear without a trace. As this was going on, a human male wearing a white suit, blue jeans, and black boots walk out of the door with a letter of acceptance. on his left arm was a small datapad that was strapped on. He seem to be please with himself as he was making his way over to the door.

Wolf notices this and while the others were talking about each other, he got up and went over to the human. “Hey there.”

The human stop and saw Wolf approaching him. “Oh, Hi there. I don’t remember seeing you around here. Name’s Matt.”

“Wolf.” He said as he hold out his hand to Matt.

“Nice to meet you Wolf”, Matt shook his hand, “Sorry, I have to get going. Hope to see you in the Academy.” With that, he left the recruitment office and headed out.

Wolf watch Matt left before hearing his name being called out by a recruiter to let him know he was ready to speak with him.

It was evening at the Elites main base as the Council was talking with Head Master Toshiro about what is happening in the Academy and what else needs to be done to help the Academy more.

After the discussion was over the four Council members were returning to their chambers, Admiral Scotty looks over to Headmaster Toshiro and asked, "I heard that my son visited you today Toshiro, tell me how did the conversation went?"

"He seems to be a very eager young man" he said as he looked back at Admiral Scotty "He wants to join the Academy to follow in your foot steps"

Scotty chuckled and nods. "That's my son for you, he is very determined to become like me and do great things for the galaxy." He smiled and thinks about himself. "Just like when I was about his age back on my home planet."

Admiral Rivers smiled and look over to Toshiro. "I've also heard about others who also join the Academy, and from the looks of it; it seems to be a colorfully group of cadets joining the Academy." In front of him was a list that he requested of the new cadets, which has Wolf and others. "Plus, I think this might be a interesting idea."‏

"What idea would that be my friend". Scotty asked looking to Rivers.

"I say we put them together as a group", Rivers suggested.

"That sounds like a great idea" Toshiro said‏, liking the idea that Admiral Rivers was suggesting

"One's a tech savy, another a well good medic, the third is quite ruthless, the fourth seems to be a comedian despite his impressive skills at repairing and piloting, the fifth is quite a marksman, the sixth has amazing skills in tactics and strategy, and Wolf, taking from his father, is a natural leader. I believe we have ourselves a well rounded team here." Rivers said as he look at the list, impressed by just skills each one has.

"They do seem like a well rounded team" Toshiro said "I'll be keeping an eye on those seven, I would like to see how they turn out as a team."

“Indeed, Starting tomorrow no less. I have a good feeling we’ll great potential from this group”, Rivers said as he look from Toshiro to the datapad that has the info on Wolf and the others.

“Nice to meet you Wolf”, Matt shook his hand, “Sorry, I have to get going. Hope to see you in the Academy.” With that, he left the recruitment office and headed out.

Wolf watch Matt left before hearing his name being called out by a recruiter to let him know he was ready to speak with him.

It was evening at the Elites main base as the Council was talking with Head Master Toshiro about what is happening in the Academy and what else needs to be done to help the Academy more.

After the discussion was over the four Council members were returning to their chambers, Admiral Scotty looks over to Headmaster Toshiro and asked, "I heard that my son visited you today Toshiro, tell me how did the conversation went?"

"He seems to be a very eager young man" he said as he looked back at Admiral Scotty "He wants to join the Academy to follow in your foot steps"

Scotty chuckled and nods. "That's my son for you, he is very determined to become like me and do great things for the galaxy." He smiled and thinks about himself. "Just like when I was about his age back on my home planet."

Admiral Rivers smiled and look over to Toshiro. "I've also heard about others who also join the Academy, and from the looks of it; it seems to be a colorfully group of cadets joining the Academy." In front of him was a list that he requested of the new cadets, which has Wolf and others. "Plus, I think this might be a interesting idea."‏

"What idea would that be my friend". Scotty asked looking to Rivers.

"I say we put them together as a group", Rivers suggested.

"That sounds like a great idea" Toshiro said‏, liking the idea that Admiral Rivers was suggesting

"One's a tech savy, another a well good medic, the third is quite ruthless, the fourth seems to be a comedian despite his impressive skills at repairing and piloting, the fifth is quite a marksman, the sixth has amazing skills in tactics and strategy, and Wolf, taking from his father, is a natural leader. I believe we have ourselves a well rounded team here." Rivers said as he look at the list, impressed by just skills each one has.

"They do seem like a well rounded team" Toshiro said "I'll be keeping an eye on those seven, I would like to see how they turn out as a team."

“Indeed, Starting tomorrow no less. I have a good feeling we’ll great potential from this group”, Rivers said as he look from Toshiro to the datapad that has the info on Wolf and the others.
