Come to think of it, perhaps I AM one of the first to make an evil Lilac. I mean, think of it, there's War Lilac, that Evil Lilac Doodles626 did...who else really did an evil Lilac before either of us? Hmm...
UPDATE (11/04/17): Well...Mixedfan got in contact with me. No, Lavender is not in any way designed to mock me or my work. It was indeed just sheer coincidence. Still, we've gotten to talk to each other, we've put all this stuff behind us, things are better now. Water under the bridge, hay in the stack. Time to move on.

I tried to ignore you. I tried to let us move on and ignore each other so that we don't make each other's lives miserable. I even ignored all the ugly slamming you gave me for no reason other than spite because I knew talking to you about it wouldn't solve anything.
But then you go and make this and also start spewing untrue facts to make me look bad in front of your friends YET AGAIN and now I've decided I'm not taking any crap anymore. So I need to voice my word and let everybody know what's actually the case so they don't make wrong accusations. That and this feud you have with me is frankly rather pathetic and I want to put an end to it so our lives will be happier.
Lavender is in no way, shape, size or concept inspired by War Lilac. I haven't even read "Freedom Dies With Me" so I don't know a thing about War Lilac other than she's your OC. So no, War Lilac had NOTHING to do with Lavender's creation. Plus why would I waste my time and effort making up a character just to take the piss out of you? I don't write parodies. Besides, I don't even care enough about your work or concepts to even bother putting any effort into taking the piss out of you. Any similarities to War Lilac is PURELY coincidence, nothing more.
There you go, the truth is out, now can you PLEASE stop hating on me when I've not done anything to you to make you hate me so much? I don't want to make enemies and I'd very much like it if we didn't have any beef with each other.

Yeah. I mean...we were both to blame. Like, I don't like a lot of your work; I don't like Natalya, I don't like how you treat Lilac and the others, I don't like any of the villains you've tried to make, I don't like your bondage and "DiD" work...at all, and that "waterboarding" comic that started all of this was one of the few times I was utterly, genuinely furious with someone...you, specifically. But know this. I overreacted. By a wiiiiiiiiide margin. I trust you're aware of Drowned Lilac, yes? The water wraith version of Lilac I made basically out of spite, though ironically she's become one of my favourite Lilac alternates. And...well, I will say I do think that you can be a bit thin-skinned at times. A bit fragile. But so am I, so...we're kind of both to blame with this.
BUT, if we can move on and be friends, even if we don't like each other's work, that's great. Fantastic, even. I know you blocked me quickly, but I never did. I mean, this was partly my fault and again I reacted in the worst possible manner. But I always hoped that one day we'd get to actually talk to each other and find some middle ground. Which, happily, we seem to be doing.
I am not a bitter, angry, pot-shotting man by nature. I try to be polite and courteous 'cause I know you don't get anywhere by throwing a tantrum and flinging ones toys out of the pram. But...well. We all have those moments where we just get so angry we can't think. Happens to us all. I'm just glad you decided to just tell me out-and-out, and we can repair this broken bridge between us. I totally got that from that rather mean-spirited comic you made dissing that comic I made as a PC for another user...it's why I blocked you in the first place. I was so genuinely hurt by it that I didn't want to speak to you or for you to speak to me in any way. I had thought blocking you so we couldn't bother each other would've been a good idea at the time...but as I've said to people in real life, "ignoring the problem doesn't make it go away". It certainly didn't with this and I thought instead of ignoring it, it was best I address it at last because I didn't want you making me look bad anymore or your friends getting the wrong idea about me. Because then I would've attracted some hate I didn't deserve and then maybe some of my watchers might've stepped into defend me and it would've blown out of proportion and all that so it was best to put this to an end as it wasn't doing any of us any favours.
Yes I'm aware of Drowned Lilac. I knew exactly why you made it and found her creation to be very mean-spirited... :/ I'll be all too happy if you never use her again.
Oh I'm not thin-skinned...mostly. I'm actually quite hardy. I've dealt with trolls, and I mean ACTUAL trolls and none of them have pierced my skin and got to me in anyway. I've even dealt with severe panic attacks in the past and become a stronger person because of it. 
I think that was very mature of you to do that. Even though you weren't too fond of me, you were still willing to find that middle ground. I commend you for that.

Well...I do still want to use Drowned Lilac in some capacity. But don't worry. I've rebooted everything I was doing and I'm currently setting about rewriting everyone's backstories. I've already greatly redesigned DL and I'm going to rewrite her backstory so she isn't some hypocritical, kneejerk reaction to the comic. Just not quite sure what that IS, yet. Perhaps Brevon tried a different type of torture and it ended up killing her. A proper waterboarding, shall we say.
...Actually that's a horrible idea. I better rethink this a bit. If you have any ideas, please I'd be glad to hear them.

I grew to hate it myself. It was born out of anger, hate art more than anything else. Cathartic, yes, but still hurtful, petty and damaging to both our reputations. Plus, I hated it because it was written poorly, drawn poorly, make a strawman out of a character I disliked and I got a good amount of flak for it. So...yeah. It's dead.
I must admit, though. There was some mild entertainment to it, yeah. But that's the thing; mild. Not outweighing the cons.

As much as you'd love that idea, no, it's not canon. But you'll like this anyway: Memphis is officially dead as of Life in Exile. He didn't survive the fall and that's a fact. No cop-out, no twist survival, nothing. He's D for Dead. And in my fanfics, I follow the same mindset that Transformers Prime did: "When a character dies, it STAYS dead".
I absolutely HATE it when characters die and come back to life for is defeats the purpose of killing them off. So you can smile with the happy knowledge that Memphis ain't coming back in my fanfics after Life in Exile.

Oh wow. Guess that's something we have in common too! I hate it when killed characters come back to life for pretty much no reason too. Often because it feels like they're only back because some executive panicked and remembered they can't sell toys of a dead villain. Even though Darth Vader is still a thing, you know. Even worse if they DO survive and get away with it scot-free. If I had my way with Freedom Planet, Brevon would be decapitated by the middle of the story. Then again, if I had the reigns a lot of the characters would probably end up not living, so...

That's odd. I mean, War Lilac clearly has presence if Mixedfan would take notes from her. To his credit Lavender is a more clever name than War/Evil Lilac and her outfit is alright, but I doubt Mixedfan will invest the kind of effort you and Doodles have on your versions of Lilac.
For that matter, evil versions of characters, especially protagonists, are so prevalent that claiming credit over them is asinine to me. But hey, you're still a better writer than him. I'd say you have nothing to worry about, unless you are somehow intimidated by his work, which I doubt.

While I don't think you're a stupid troll, I HAVE seen some bad comments and reactions from you, particularly ones aimed at Perry and Doodles. You certainly have more passion for art than I do and there are pretty good things about you, it's just hard to look at that clearly when you've got some bad blood with friends of mine. The safest thing I can tell you right now is, if you really are this nice guy you claim to be, you won't bother them again. That just gets in the way of sharing art, right?

Well, it's hard to tell, really. Like I said, a few things are similar but the chances of them being based on one another feels slim. I mean, he kind of hates me, doesn't he? Called my view on FP warped.
Thing is though, I've spoken to a few people on the subject and most of them say War Lilac is the better character. Just like when I compared Lowell and Spike, come to think of it.

I think that's exactly why he'd base some work on yours. Consider that Lavender and her "friends" are villains, not unlike War Lilac. And people like Mixedfan are starved when it comes to creating good villains, if that grandmother thing from last year is any evidence. As "warped" as your view on FP might seem, it has value that he recognizes and will harness, even if he'll never admit it to your face.
While I don't know who Spike is, Lowell is pretty interesting from what I've seen. And the way you wrote War Lilac is pretty good, because she's crazy and intimidating but not completely unlikable or impossible to relate to. So I agree with the people on this one, War Lilac is better. The only things Lavender has on her are the name and outfit, neither of which would make sense in War Lilac's context because she WAS Lilac at one point then fell from grace.

But even then they did say that Lowell at the very least looked better. As for War Lilac...well. I'd like to think she's at least a little bit popular, but considering the type of reach I have (read: little at all), it's likely not a lot of people really know. And seeing as Mixedfan is a lot more popular than I am, let's be completely honest, it's very likely that Lavender will go down as the Anti-Lilac and not War Lilly. Hell, I feel like I'm going to get a bit of hate mail from Mixedfan's...uh, fans saying I ripped him off.

That's my guess, considering he knows about you despite all the tension. I can't say for sure since I don't really know him, but it could just as easily be a desire to have an alternate/evil Lilac. I'll have to agree on the thin-skinned bit, though. Some rather nasty comments thrown at you and Doodles in the past...

That's sad but true, people tend to listen to the popular figures more, so they might get that vibe. Doing things "first" has very little meaning nowadays when people prefer the mainstream, and while you clearly write deeper characters than this, being less approachable than Mixedfan means people won't see just how interesting your work really is. I'd say just keep doing your thing, let him do his and if fanboys come at you, just deal with them.

I noticed that he posted another FP fanfic, but I wasn't bothered to read it, so I can't have any input on this. Could you fill me in on the details?

Basically, his latest fic seems to focus on a sort of Anti-Team Lilac. Team Lavender, specifically, with evil versions of Lilac, Carol and Milla. I checked the general bio for the three - haven't read the Prologue - and I read their general backstory. Bit generic really; they're crazy, mentally unstable and the complete opposite of the good-goody heroines. So what he's basically done is create an Avalician Suppression Squad. The story for their insanity is that they get corrupted and harassed by outside forces and their sanity is worn down, Brevon comes along and kills everyone, Lilac snaps and kills him, becoming a violent and unhinged warmonger in the process.
Sound a bit familiar yet?
Someone has suggested that Lavender is supposed to be a parody of the way I look at how Freedom Planet should be, but I find that unlikely. Again, I'm not saying that he stole the idea, I'm going to be nice and give him the benefit of the doubt. It IS probably just coincidence. But still, they are close in a number of ways and I thought I'd comment on it. Also I did sort of do it first...and better.

Yeah, I'll take your War Lilac over Lavender Underpants any day. BTW, I gave that story a skim-through and it is cringy for trying to be dark and edgy. Mario RPGs have better edgy moments than this, and they're supposed to be lightheaded and fun (yes, I've played Paper Mario and most of the Mario and Luigi games. I'm a Mario man). Gotta have them swear like a sailor because swears are cool and edgy. And do the characters need to be this preachy? What happened to subtly?
All this makes me want to continue my own fanfic and show people a more well-written story.

Well there you go. I gave it a skimover and...well. It's slightly better than I intended and it's slightly better than his other works, I'll give him that. But...yeah, it was still pretty pants. And a lot of it still feels Cribbs from a certain FDWM. Which, again, I did before and better.
And lets face it this'll go the same way his other stories went. Same characters, same dialogue, same stupid godmother OC because she's so fascinating. Frankly, I think I'll stick with what I've got, and what you'll make.
