It was inevitable, really. You see, Alpha-the-Hedgehog, a spriter (and thus has a relation to recolors like Hitler to the Jews) found THIS ([link] ) and the first thing he said?

"oh look. a Sonic recolor!"

Gee, thank you Capitan F**KING Obvious! Before he got rabid on me, I told him I was in the process of redesigning my character (the sprite was before he gained the darker fur and skin and cape so on). And these are the results of my madness (I was wearing a pillowcase on my head while making these. -_-').

To be honest, it wasn't easy. I didn't want to change Perry again, but I knew that if I didn't, my book would never get published, even if I did get the permission.

1. PERRY REDESIGN 1
Probably the only one I really like. The changes include:
Fringe (with matching Werehog spikes)
Red T-shirt (one of my early designs during my Ben-10 era included such a shirt)
Blue cape
Black wristbands
New shoes

Self-evaluation: 4/5
Pros: Most believable for story
Cons: Same quills (weak point)

PERRY DESIGN 2
My sister likes this one, but I'm not sure I do. It looked awful on paper and it really doesn't look much better here.
CHANGES:

African-British (Would make him the first dark-skinned person in the series)
Robotic eye
Larger build (gorilla like. I don't like it.)
Huge quills with black werehog markings that extend to back of head (my sister said this was her favourite)
Jeans
Fingerless gloves- red and blue
Green cape
New shoes

Self-evaluation: 3/5
Pros: Certainly looks different
Cons: Quills a mess, looks really... weird.

PERRY DESIGN 3
Yes, of course it would be a female one. I would love to do this one, but it would screw up the canon non-stop. AND it would make the ending much less special. AND it would make Kathrine either male or a lesbian. I suppose I could make a comic to explain it, but I fear people will mistake it for a crack pairing.
CHANGES:
Female, obviously
Yellow quill markings
Showing bat wings
Cape tied around waist to act as skirt
Black quill band
Sandals with socks

Self-evaluation: 3/5
Pros: Looks different, certainly.
Cons: Will have to re-write the story, which will sound awful on paper.

Perhaps I'll have THAT as an alternate ending? Not sure.

But in the end?... I STILL DON'T WANT TO CHANGE PERRY'S DESIGN. But I know I must. I've got two legs in either boat and losing grip fast. Looks like THIS will call for another contest...
