Description Been a while since I added a shot, even though I'm now on windows 8 not too much has changed. Couple notes about the setup:

* This is a Samsung ATIV with an 11.6" screen and a 1920x1080 resolution hence the somewhat larger fonts that you might be used to.
* I'm using a custom tiling window manager, I spent a long time tweaking it because some programs I love on windows don’t like to be sized exactly.Β  I used AutoHotKey to make a tiling manager that worked around those issues specifically.
* I have a array of dark user styles for websites I use frequently.
* It's all powered by Cygwin / Futty (the best putty clone).

Here are the credits:

Wall is a re-balanced version of NEVA by Digitalshiva
Visual Style is aeroblack by lukesp
Firefox is FT DeepDark
TBarIconStripper (to remove the icons)
The IRC is irssi with my theme from an earlier release
Foobar is a modified version of ncmpcpp_mod by twnsnd
ZSH Prompt is based on Phil!'s ZSH Prompt
Colors based on Thayer's colors from the archlinux forums
Clock is TClock
Emacs is Customized zenburn to look like Thayer's colors
7conifer with token light for the bar icons
Nexusfile with a custom theme based on pixel by hora hora
Font is Terminus
Startisgone to hide the start menu

I'm actually loving windows 8 and often use it in touch or pen modes, I'm planning on adding a couple shots in one image showing how I transition between the working styles at some point in the future.

I think the font is controlled by the visual style you use, so you could change it by editing that with stylebuilder: stylebuilder.telerik.com/

Great setup! Would it be possible for you to share the tiling setup and instructions? I tried doing something similar with WinSplit, didn't pan out right.

So it written in autohotkey, and I mean this is really messy, basic, and measured to my specific visual style, it would take adapting to use with yours, you can see how i set up a special condition for emacs which does not like to be resized exactly: gist.github.com/openist/26d7ae…

I can't actually understand it but I will try to re-purpose it according to my own needs. Thank you so much for sharing.

Cool, well if you want to play around with it you just need autohotkey to run it:

Yeah, I know some basic hotkey stuff but your code is hardcore man. I mean I just use normal apps, explorer, pot player, OneNote, chrome, stuff. Had to look up what eMac was.

I would love to see how you transition from keyboard to pen input, it must be a pain. Anyways, great ss!
