"The" Reality(Chapter 1: Time)Tik tok, tik tok, tik tok… When the issue is on time, first thing emerges in minds is a clock. When someone asks us what the time is we look at watch on our wrist, or clock on the wall, or tab on our pc. The thing is that what time we are telling him?
In general, time is perceived as static, same for everyone. It is in a sense correct. However there are some points to mention about. First of all, when we say we see something, we indeed saying that the light reflected from the object has reached to our eyes and we processed it. Oouuchh, light comes into play again. As in chapther 0, again we can talk about relativity in this case. Imagine that there is a huge clock tower. Then, there is one man just in front of it about one or two meters away; also there is another man who is far far away but can see the clock since it is huge. When the clock tick 12:0:0 the reflected lights from the clock will start to take a trip towards the eyes of both men waiting. Lights will take a shorter distance to reach the man who is just nearby the clock, but a long long distance to reach the other guy. Then, one man will process the incoming light than the other. Now, while the time is 12:0:0:0 for the one man, the other will still living the moment before 12:0:0. Then, we can conclude that time is not static. It is dynamic for who is perceiving it. By the way, the reason we can feel a dramatic difference in our normal lives is because of the light moves so fast since our earth is little. However if we larger our example, we can say that light needs about 8 minutes to come from light to earth. So, if there is a sun-proof man, maybe he invented extremely protecting sun lotion, who is standing nearby the sun. He will be seeing the instantaneous state of sun and we will be able to see the same state after 8 minutes than the guy above there.
We can conclude that time is relativistic. However relativistic part of time is not just depend on light. We are manipulating it ourselves, too. I will give a classical example, but it will work I think. Remember your most fun time and also remember your most boring time. Let me give an example from me. Most fun time for me is playing streetball with my crew. There are times that I need to do something after streetball, studying or going out for some reason. In anyways, on such moments I am not free on time. Then, match starts, we play about one and half an hour maybe, but oops time to go has reached. But how? It was like I have just arrived there. Then, I perceived it as time flew away so fast. For the other case, sometimes we have to attend boring lessons or meetings, maybe sometimes we have to wait this hell to end to be able to go and pee
Why did I feel like forty minutes were longer than one and half an hour? Because of my perception of time! Maybe it is a good thing! I can slow the down, or make it faster
For now, this introduction for time is enough, but in the future I will be back on time! Ooops, seems like a word game over there
