Personality: Winter doesn't talk very much beyond grunts, growls, and howls, and when she does speak, it's in very broken English. She is fiercely protective of Starshine, and doesn't trust anyone that she doesn't know. She often has trouble suppressing her animal instincts; for example, she will often go outside at night to howl at the moon. However, these instincts give her incredible tracking abilities, and a very deep knowledge of flora and fauna. There is, however, one thing that she hates more than anything else: baths.

History: Abandoned as a foal, Winter was taken into Everfree Forest by a pack of wolves. She grew up with them, learning how to hunt and fight. Many years later, she wandered into Ponyville late one night in search of food. While digging through the trash outside of the Golden Oaks Library, she was discovered by the librarian, Starshine Wonder. Although initially frightened, Starshine took Winter in, and has been helping her to adapt to life in the pony world.
