He held the small girl in his arms. Four years to the day since her mother had died bringing her into the world and soon, he would lose everything. Doctors came in and out of the room, checking in on her and keeping her medication high. The girl would drift in and out of consciousness, sometimes expressing fear, others forgetting where she was. 'I know I will die Daddy… will I see Mummy?' these words flashed back into his mind, the last words she had spoken. 'You'll see mummy soon.' he smiled, trying to remain strong for her, although she could no longer speak, he hoped his words would provide comfort. 'You know I love you very much. We'll all meet in heaven one day, you me and mummy, we'll take the dog for walks… play at the park… do all the things a family should do…' He noticed her eyes beginning to close, every part of him wanted her to hold on and fight it and come back to him, but he knew her pain would soon be over, he lay her down on the hospital bed, still holding her hand and stroking her hair. 'You must be good for mummy until daddy comes, okay?' a tear trickled down his face, as her heartbeats became few and far between. Her breathing became erratic and he realised she would soon be completely gone from this world. 'I love you very much Amelia… you'll know her… you have her hair and eyes…' then her breathing stopped for the last time, her heart finally gave out. He immediately broke down and feel to his knees. He let out a loud scream and the tears now flooded down his face. He pounded the ground with his fist. 'Why?! Why you! Why! I loved them so much! Why did they have to die… why did I have to tell a four year old girl… a daughter who I loved more than anything else in the world… that she wasn't going to be able to grow up… find her prince charming and live a normal life…'
