Everyone had taken their seats and the class was now in full session. Amelia was writing notes as she felt something vibrate in her pocket, she quickly whipped out her mobile, hiding it under the desk, she glanced down to read the text message. "We're all going on a camping trip next weekend, hope you're up for it, will talk soon. Erin x." Just before she could put it away she heard her name being called from the front of the class room. "Amelia!" She looked up slowly. "I am boring you so much that you must take refuge in telecommunication!"
"No Miss..." she muttered back.
"Then put it away and look at the front please." The teacher turned back to writing on the whiteboard and Amelia went back to writing notes, now screaming to herself in her head. "Oh good job, I think I made one hell of a first impression!"

The bell rang and everyone got up to leave; only Amelia stayed sat down. She enjoyed looking out from the third floor window. Then suddenly a figure appeared next to her, she glanced round. It was a tall boy, mid length hair styled with a straight fringe across one eye. "Good Morning," She smiled as a better phrase seemed to escape her. "Good Morning." The boy replied. "Amelia is it?" he asked. She paused before answering. "Er... Yeah."
"Galen."
"Nice to meet you, Galen."
"I was hoping if you weren't too busy if you'd come have..." He blushed, "If you'd come have lunch with me on the roof later on, if you weren't too busy of course." He took a deep breath. Amelia sat there shocked, a guy she didn't even know the name of a minute ago was asking her for an intimate meeting. "I... I'm flattered..." she started.
"Tell you what..." he cut in, "Don't tell me, if you want to, I'll be on the roof at 1 o'clock, it's always empty up there so I'm sure you'd find me." He laughed nervously. "Hopefully I'll see you there." He smiled and backed away. "O...okay..." she smiled waving slowly goodbye as he left the room, leaving her there in a small state of shock.

"He did what?!" Erin shouted as Amelia finished telling her what had happened. Erin jumped up from the bench. "He just randomly walked up to you?! Wow... so what you gonna do?" she laughed.
"I was going to say no..."
"Why?!" Erin protested. "I mean give the guy a chance, besides it isn't a date or anything, it's just lunch, he hasn't proclaimed his love to you?"
"No, but still it was just a little weird out of the blue like that."
"What did you say his name was again?"
"Galen."
"I'll have a look around see if anyone knows anything else about him, although I still think you should go meet him, don't want to be rude to your new classmates now Amelia!" she smiled and wandered off, leaving Amelia alone to contemplate her next move.
