Description
Autodesk Maya 2008Adobe Photoshop CS3
Final project for my Advanced Advanced 3D Modeling class. I wanted to do something unusual so I chose a squirrel for my animal. It turned out to be very simple so I decided to texture him and use alpha planes for the fur. There are a few things I'd like to change and probably will sometime very soon but overall for the time I spent on it, I'm really happy with the way it turned out. It's a good model, it would look even better with maya fur on it.

That tree is texture is what gets my attention! It's probably because we've been making trees/forest scenes in my texture class lately, the models great too!

Wow, this looks really good! I love squirrels lol Did you use depth of field for this render?

Thanks, glad you like it. I didn't use depth of field, it's just a normal render though I did use mental ray and a few other render styles I've never used before. It was hard to get the lighting down well, I was trying to match the environment but it was difficult.
