Next Chapter

Hello all, here I am at the start of the new year with the first page of my comic, mostly because I was determined to post page 1 by the end of 2021. The first day of 2022 is close enough I suppose.

This is a tentative first page. It was largely meant to be an experiment, as well as a spontaneous jump into the water, forcing my brain into the executive production process instead of forever hiding in the rabbit-hole-like pre-production phase filled with endless planning and worldbuilding that doesn't amount to actually making the product. I've got enough of a general direction for the story and I've got the main 3 characters down so I figured I'd just go at it, and figure it out as I go.

This is not establishing any sense of a structured release schedule or promising consistency from here on out. It is, again, only an experimental phase. I don't have a page 2 at the moment. I do wish to continue releasing pages, preferably weekly on Saturdays, ideally, but I can attest that this will not happen at the start and I do not have any specific plan as to when I will slide into that weekly schedule in a more solidified manner. My current vague plan, however, is to continue working at scene 1 (which may extend to all of Chapter 1) in this experimental phase, during which I will be actively working to get a webcomic-worthy website up and running. The ideal situation is that I finish fixing up the last organizational loose ends by the time I finish this scene/chapter and hopefully jump into said consistent schedule at that time as I continue the next, and then consecutively begin my Patreon set up. I cannot make any promises unfortunately.

I just realized that today is conveniently a Saturday. The first day of the year. I appreciate that, 2022.

But anyway, here's this for now, and hopefully interest in this draws any and all who see it to want more. One of my biggest dreams is become a self sustaining patreon based webcomic artist and I would certainly love to see that happen in time. One thing I really really need now is a title. My working title used to be "Rimworld", but of course that's a thing already. The next runner up is "Between Echoes". Now here I go to look that one up, see if it's already a thing.
