If you have read Marfox then this she is part of an alternative or side story that goes along with it.

other: was the secrete mate of Mokkan (Marlfox), though his siblings thought her to be a courtesan and nothing more. Though he is the most cunning and ruthless of the Marlfoxes, there is a tender side that he hides from everyone but Breeze. During the sieges of Redwall Abbey Mokkan escapes with the Tapestry and poor pregnant Breeze believes he is somewhere in the chaos of the battle and dons a Marlfox clock and manages to get inside the abbey itself in search of him.

Of course he is not there and winds up hiding in the bushes while the remaining rats and Marlfoxes are dispatched. However, she is discovered by one of the Redwallers while they are cleaning up and is pulled out to be delt with. Most want to kill her, including a grumpy Guosim Shrew(not yet named) and Treestalker. Rudder remains silent, listening to the Abbey dwellers, the shrew and the rest argue among themselves about what to do . But something about the glinting eyes under the hood keeps his attention and he is the only one to go over and pull her hood off. And that is when he discovers she is no Marlfox and she is a she. He gets the arguing to cease long enough to point these things out as well as get the large cloak off of her to reveal that she isn’t only female, but rather pregnant.

They agree to not kill her, but they can’t very well release her either… so she becomes a live in prisoner, kept in a spare room down in the cellarhog’s domain. Other than being given food, only Rudder and a young mouse maid visit her. Of course Rudder begins to make friends with Breeze and she learns to trust him slowly. He is allowed to bring her out from time to time and though most others want her gone, the pair form a deep bond and eventually fall in love.
