Sasuke Costume 2013

One of the most cherished games of my childhood was Mystical Ninja: Starring Goemon for the N64. This costume was a love letter to the series. The game was colorful, had a ton of humor, and the soundtrack was incredible. My favorite character to play as was a skilled, robot-ninja-warrior created by a wise, old man. I remember that the hair in particular was a really fun part to make. The spiked bundle on is offset quite a bit from the head itself, which posed an interesting challenge. The kunai knives are a light-blue in reference to a power that Sasuke gets later in the game that allows him to freeze enemies. This costume got me an appearance on a local news show that was reporting on a convention I was attending. I'm sure I was chosen because the costume is so outlandish and funny-looking, and not because it was made with any particular skill. Still... at the time, I felt pretty impressive when I made the eyes light up.
