Kamen Rider Decade had a crossover with Samurai Sentai Shinkenger in Japan last year, the first official team-up between the two properties. Sadly, in the US we're stuck with the Power Rangers team-up to help out Saban's Masked Rider (ugh, the less said about that show the better...)Related content

what's funny is Beetle Borgs and VR Troopers use the same Japanese source material. Just like Power Rangers uses footage from various Super Sentai series, VR Troopers and Beetle Borgs get their footage from a series called Metal Hero.

MMPR had an episode that started Masked Rider in the US. So a crossover has been done before.

I did read your description and it made no sense. What I mentioned actually took place first. I know you mentioned it, but the Japanese version did not happen first if it really was shinkenger that you meant.

My description says this is the first crossover of Super Sentai and Kamen Rider. Power Rangers is an American adaptation of Super Sentai, just as Masked Rider was an American Adaptation of Kamen Rider. But they are not Super Sentai and Kamen Rider. Yes, I know it's semantics, but they you have it.

meh, to each his own. I treat Super Sentai as separate from Power Rangers just as I treat Microman and Diaclone as separate from Transformers.

Well, of course those are separate. Transformers was just based on the toyline. Power Rangers used actual footage from Super Sentai.

right, I'm just speaking about my personal preference. Some seasons are very close to the source material in terms of storylin (Mystic Force for one, especially with the finale), while others are completely different (like Dino Thunder) from their Japanese counterpart.

Well after continuity broke with lost galaxy, I've slowly lost interest. My attention stopped around time force. Now Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger is pretty good. My fear is what Saban will do to it. I think dino thunder was one of disney's attempts to be consistent, with the appearance of Tommy.

Dino Thunder was my fav, especially due to the acknowledgement of past Ranger history. Saban has fallen into old habits with Samurai, it's mostly Sentai footage. Even the Mighty Morphin era storylines were more original with their storylines. Seasons 1-3 were nothing like Zyuranger, Dairanger, and Kakuranger. From MMPR thru RPM, sometimes they had original storylines, otherwise it was a straight up adaptation. Samurai is the latter, I had hoped that Saban's return to the franchise wouldn't have been a watered down version of Shinkenger. I'm afraid of them doing Gokaiger cuz it is just awesome!

well, maybe not shinkenger decade, but keep in mind they DID americanise another kamen rider series recently, and unlike Saban's Masked Rider, it was actually pretty good.
so who knows, we could see a Power Rangers cross with Kamen Rider Dragon Knight in the future, you never know.

who knows if they'll do a Samurai/RPM team-up, but it's doubtful since team-ups have been few and far between. As for *groan* Dex, the less said about that abomination of a Kamen Rider adaption, the better.

well Masked rider at the end dex gradfarther did say one day you wil have a son and that means Saban would make decade the son of dex pluse saban better then disney on making thepower ranger shows so if thats going to haben then here we go again with the MASKED RI-DER OPENING

Saban is about selling toys.....Decade, would be a potential CASH COW for them. Decade gives you just enough backstory on the other Riders to care, and Bandai could churn out dozens of figures.....
they need to keep the silly catch phrases in if they do adapt Decade, i just want to hear "i'm just a passing through Kamen Rider, remember that!"

PreCure, or Pretty Cure...is widely known as the most kickass Magical girl anime out there. Considering what extra time the girls in the other magical girl animes spend posing and/or dancing around while either introducing themselves aor launching an attack, the PreCures spend engaging in some good-old semi-DBZ-style fisticuffs with the bad guys, even mixing it up with enemies ranging in size from that of a local convenience store to taller and much wider than most skyscrapers. Sometimes bigger.

They'd need to adapt or plan to adapt the other 8 riders that haven't gotten adaptions yet... and most likely leave out Black/RX's world... and Amazon... and team up with Saban...
Course if they have a small minithing with Decade as a passing through hero, appearing in a Dragon Knight movie and then Saban's Shinkenger adaption...

Actually, since the other 9 rider worlds are AU compared even to the original stories, it could still be entirely plausible. But yeah, they could probably get by without Black/RX, Amazon, and even the movie where they go to Tsukasa's homeworld.
Then of course, there's the fact that adaptations don't have to be EXACTLY like the original story...

Adness really does not have any plans right now for another Kamen Rider since CW dicked them around, even though Dragon Knight was doing well. I would like to see Blade, Kiva, Kabuto, or even Faiz adapted. If they did Decade, it would be an interesting way to introduce the previous Heisei Riders to American audiences. Also, has it been confirmed that the 18th season will adapt Shinkenger and not Goseiger?
