Well done. I like how there is a strong focal point and an absences of gravity within the subject, yet she seems very well grounded. I would like to examine the tattoo more closely to see if you've used some symbolic reference to something in the picture. Does it tie in with the visual story? The fetal position suggest that something tragic has happen and adds mystery and a bit of empathy. Another thing I really like is, that at first viewing you don't pay attention to all the great textures. But as you stare, the more the textures jump off the page, much in the same way the shadows do.

As an abstract piece I love the varying angles of light and shadow that allow the viewer to wander through the picture forcing the viewer to try and find some ground. The one question I'm really curious about. You clearly understand abstract and you understand surrealism, but has this been manipulated so much that it really only counts as a photo-illustration ( a manipulation) as the shadows of the female seem way to crisp in contrast to the rest of the piece, which would suggest that you had to have added her later on, which would not classify this as a photograph. With all the varying light sources and directions this really has to be a photomanipulation?
