Description
An unused concept for the standard rifle in Insomniac's new game FUSE.I'd like to point out that this is for a VIDEO GAME and though I do appreciate "real wrold" functionality feedback, the ONLY thing we're concerned about is how a weapon looks like in the game, and that it matches the GAMEPLAY functionality. I cannot stress this enough, it wasn't my project, it wasn't my design requirements. Also this is over 2 years old now.

this almost looks like a rebuild of the XM8 Assault rifle. Nice.

Ha ha, nice rifle design- I like this one better, it has the bolt in line with the barrel and enough space for the rifle's action. It also reminds me very much of the phaser rifles Picard and co. used against the Borg in First Contact, the general lines of it are similar, ha ha.

To be fair, some of the most iconic guns in film and games were impractical and unrealistic. My favorite would be the M56 Smartgun from Aliens.

Wow, that was quite a disclaimer. But since it's shaped very much like a real gun (the G36), it's hard to imagine that many people would claim that it doesn't appear functional.
I've been enjoying seeing the whole FUSE series of concepts, thanks for posting them.

It IS a g36, the xm8 I mean, it's kind of like James bond putting on a tuxedo and claiming to be a different man.
