Kono Yamato is a member of ZECT who initially was nothing more than an ordinary Bright Trooper, until he was given the Kumo Zecter by one of the Natives, using it and the Rider Belt to become Kamen Rider Kumo!
By placing the Kumo Zecter in the Rider Belt, Yamato is able to transform into the Masked Form of Kamen Rider Kumo, a heavily armored form resembling a pupa with low offensive capabilities. It is not used much, as the Rider Form is much more powerful, though this form's defensive power is occasionally used to defend against attacks.
