I really like this image. You've got a huge aperture for the perfect depth of field. I love the sunset being behind the feather so you get the color but not the blinding light. You're close enough to the subject to see it and get enough information about the location. You've even brought some focus to the rule of thirds. I feel that the photograph would have been stronger if the horizon had been shifted so that it was in the RoT as well, but I understand the conditions might not have been as favorable with the lighting situation. Very beautiful.

Very very nice, no critique at all from the creative side.
I don't know, if it's possible with your camera, but you could try to keep the ISO low. Sadly the Sensor noise is pretty visible.
