Nothing is wrong with it. I just don't think that it's reasonable to use bases, and I feel like producing bases and encouraging people to use them isn't the right path to go.

sometimes you CAN use a base, no one can control you
i know, it's bad to use bases a lot, but you'll see in deviantart that people that making bases, so you'll have to deal with it.
deviantart accept bases, so you should accept bases too.
and i agree with you, using bases a lot it's a bad idea.
