Description Please read~

So sorry for the delay. Thank you for being patient! I know I said I would post this up a little while after the third part but working on tutorials (with me doing it and trying to explain everything lol ) is a little hard and tedious. I tend to get distracted easily and procrastinate a lot Although not many have been messaging me or etc about this is so it either means everything is going smoothly so far ....hopefully...... Or things have taken a drastic turn for the worst and world domination is being planned as we speak.....

If there is or are step(s) That are difficult to understand. Comment/Note me and I'll try to help you out. I know there's alot of reading and it's suchhhhh a giant tutorial. I just didn't know how to make it small. I could have probably broken it up into another tutorial but who knows when that one would come out lol.

Anywho If you haven't already (tsk tsk lol )

Here are the pattern links and previous tutorials.

Awesome tutorial. I might try making this to go w/ my Sango cosplay. You should make patterns for the eyes, nose, forehead and feet. I think that would be helpful.

Thank you very much!

For the eyes, someone had mention they looked a little weird. Most likely because they were just felt. And recommended fabric paint. I'm a little worried if I make a tutorial for them, I might mess up the read's creation :c

For the feet, forehead, and nose. I can give it a shot though.  The feet were done kind of awkwardly though and came out a little messy unfortunately

No problem!
I actually like how they look.

I think if people want an option

that they have just have it with paint or felt for the eyes/face part.

Aw thank you!

That is true o: Thank you for making me realize that lol.

But I'll be sure to make a tutorial for the  eyes and other parts later for you. ^^

Glad you like this tutorial of mine. Hope it's been very useful!

Hey, I'm starting to make the plushie. I was wondering if you have the face parts for me yet?

I was going to crop it to get rid of all the excess white, But I was afraid it would screw up the patterns sizes.

I ended up losing the original pieces and forgot about it. I'm sorry for the late post :c

No problem, but isn't the eye suppose to be red and not white?

MelzyV In reply to Desart [2013-09-25 06:26:52 +0000 UTC]

Oh yes! Red! lol sorry. I had a normal eye in my mind when I put that.

No problem, lol. I'm making the plushie, but it's turning out really small and I have no idea why. :/

MelzyV In reply to Desart [2013-09-26 06:15:22 +0000 UTC]

Hmm~  The plushie is? What parts have you completed sewing and stuffed so far?

Desart In reply to MelzyV [2013-09-27 04:28:44 +0000 UTC]

Yes. I have done the head and the 2 tails. It looks very small to me. :/

MelzyV In reply to Desart [2013-09-27 04:44:47 +0000 UTC]

uh wait. slightly smaller than a base ball maybe. I measured it 9 and half inches around without measuring the snout

Around is about 6 inches w/o the snout. Here's a picture:

It's way too small.

MelzyV In reply to Desart [2013-09-30 05:44:01 +0000 UTC]

Now that I remeasured mine. It's about 8 1/2 inches around including going over the eyes.

How big across is the forehead?  On the pattern it should be 2 inches across on the widest part. Which would also help make the head appear bigger.

Desart In reply to MelzyV [2013-09-30 06:32:35 +0000 UTC]

Mine is about 5.5 inches.
Yes, mine is about the same size on the forehead.

MelzyV In reply to Desart [2013-09-27 04:40:01 +0000 UTC]

Hmm the head size of mine is about the size of a baseball. How would you describe the size of yours?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Desart In reply to MelzyV [2013-09-30 04:56:32 +0000 UTC]

A size of a plum maybe, lol >_< XD

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

MelzyV In reply to Desart [2013-09-30 05:13:33 +0000 UTC]

plums are close to base ball sizes xD or so I've been told lol  So it's there! But I over stuffed mine a bit thick so It might look bigger.

But once the plushie is complete it's fairly small.

But I just thought of another reason why. Everyone has a different way of sewing. Are  you sewing by hand or machine? and the way you are sewing the pieces together, are the stitchings visible like how mine is, or did you sew it in a way to hide the stitching?

Desart In reply to MelzyV [2013-09-30 06:36:08 +0000 UTC]

Okay, so it is a small plushie then? I thought yours looked big. o_o XD
Okay, I was wondering and thought I failed, lol.
By hand. I don't know how to use a machine. The stitching is visible.

I don't exactly know how to hide the stitching.
I wanted a bigger plushie and I thought yours was big. I want something
bigger like the one my friend has, so I asked her for measurements.
Is there a way to have your pattern bigger for a bigger plushie?

MelzyV In reply to Desart [2013-09-30 07:01:07 +0000 UTC]

It's slightly smaller than your average plushie I guess.

I wanted mine to resemble the actual Kirara when she was in her small form. She's maybe a kitten size.

If you look at mine from the side view, it's close to 8 inches  and from paw to ear tip 8 inches tall. The tails would make it look bigger. I think it looks bigger because of the type of fabric I used for the tails honestly. They're poofier

Hmm my trick to sizing up patterns, since I don't have  a working printer, I trace of the patterns from my monitor.

Like for example, I save an image with a pattern. I open up My Pictures and click preview on the pattern image. Full screen. after I have it open, I zoom in till a certain size I like, place a paper over the monitor and sketch the outline of the pattern.  Lightly at first, since I don't want to ruin my monitor lol. Once I have a light sketch complete, I pull it back and go over it again but making it darker and neater looking.

That's how I obtain other peoples' patterns since I can't print them :/

I hope what I said makes sense. So with my pattern, you can open up a preview, and slowly zoom in to a certain size you like and just start tracing over the patterns.

But since my patterns are of two different pages and you try that trick, you'll have to make sure you zoomed in on both the exact same.

My friend has a plushie when Kilala was a kitten and it's not the size that I have made w/ your pattern. I think my plushie is even smaller than the one that you made. I got measurements from my friend, so I will try that and what you told me about tracing it, thanks.

MelzyV In reply to Desart [2013-10-06 05:43:54 +0000 UTC]

Ah the only other thing I can think of because of the size difference is any alteration in the patterns and shapes.

But yeah, the tracing of the patterns should work. They do for me anyway. Goodluck! (:

I have no idea, since I printed it out, unless I downloaded it wrong.
Thanks!
