Designation: Cortex
Frame: Horus Pattern, Balor
Description: A custom Horus mech with a suite of abilities that revolve around its experimental nanite swarms. These swarms act for defense and offense as they can deconstruct nearby enemies at the molecular level while simultaneously using the scavenged materials to repair damage almost as soon as its inflicted. These swarms also allow Cortex to provide cover to allies or drive enemies from theirs. These abilities make Cortex a fierce CQB combatant but they are somewhat lacking in long range combat.

Cortex is also capable of independent thought thanks to an on-board enlightenment class NHP. When piloted by Dr Gauss they act with one mind, but when acting autonomously its behavior and speech patterns resemble those of its pilot, or perhaps the opposite is true.
