"I said I'm not interested."The arrow that once stopped Varlam and lead to him being captured and almost executed was shot by Ekain. After connecting Ekain to those events Varlam starts to grow a heavy interest in him - Ekain and his skills with a bow would be a great asset to him.
But Ekain himself doesn't agree and refuses to join him, not caring even if Varlam raises his offering.
That doesn't stop Varlam for trying, though. He _definitely_ wants Ekain to join his team.
