Description
Despite of what happened to Aoi for eleven straight years, he always brought joy to his friends. He always cared enough about his friend's joy before his own joy. He has many deep emotions, but joy stands out the most out of anything else. Aoi wants to make sure his friends are not alone, feeling any sorrow, and always have at least one friend.

Especially with Kabocha, Aoi would do anything to make sure she's happy. He would give her his full support on any situation she is going through. This goes back to before they had a much more meaningful relationship between them. Aoi has helped Kabocha, and brought her joy, in almost any situation she had. With what they have now, it's not any different than their friendship. But Kabocha admitted a bunch of times that Aoi made her happy, or at least made her feel better. Kabocha is the one friend Aoi brought the most joy to.

With Cameron and Haneul, Aoi hasn't done much, but he did do some. Haneul and his turn to learn about God, Aoi encouraged Haneul many times through that. He hasn't done a lot with Cameron, but he is sure that he did at least one thing to him that made him happy. Cameron hasn't need any help due to him partly already knowing what to do. But Aoi will offer the encouragement as soon as Cameron needs it.

Lastly, there has been ups and downs with Aoi and Terensu. Their friendship is not as developed as with the other four. Though, it's more on Terensu's part than Aoi's. Despite of their weak friendship, Aoi hasn't failed to be there for Terensu. He took him in when he died a few years back. He is the reason that Terensu is now alive again. Recently, though he didn't tell him, Aoi healed Terensu's arm when it got cut from the previous battle. With every mistake Terensu apologized for, Aoi always forgive him, which brings him joy everytime.

Others think in situations like these, Aoi's main personality would be friendship or encouragement. But with all he has been through, he still kept the happiness alive, whether it's was true happiness or fake. It would make more sense if he had joy as his main trait. He also puts other people's feelings before himself, at least most of the time. Also knowing his full name, Aokaisai, means 'blue joy,' or more like 'blue that brings joy.' Not only his actions, but his name also shows that joy is what he is best at and the most obvious to everyone.

Recently after the attack, Aoi became depressed, the opposite of joy. That's the worst thing that could happen since he recently decided to heal from the many yeas of depression he already went through. For the first few weeks, Aoi cried. Now, all he does is hurt and put himself down. He is more lazy, or more like laying aound because he is too hurt and upset to do anything. It's exactly what he did when lived in complete nothingness for a few years. Aoi could be like this forever if he doesn't realize that this type of state is no longer him. But something or someone will have to help him to snap out of it.
