Amethyst was completely surprised at the response she received. She tried to speak, saying 'but' over and over, but nothing would come out. She couldn't oppose, even if she could actually say something.

"Amethyst." Taehyun wiped her cheeks one more time then put his hands on her shoulders. "If I wanted perfect, I would have given up on trying to be your friend a long time ago. But I'm still here, waiting for you to tell me that you want to be my friend."

Amethyst didn't know what to say. She doesn't deserve Taehyun at all, not after the pain she caused, not after his constant kindness. But she doesn't want to deny being friends with him. She wants to keep him close, she wants to be a better person, and she will be. Before she could say anything, Taehyun's lips was on hers. Another kiss, not a full on kiss but not a brush like last time. Amethyst was shocked, but this time, she didn't feel disgusted. She kept to herself though, but this time, she shut her eyes.

Again, it only lasted for a second or two before Taehyun pulled away. She could tell he was embarrassed. She giggled on the inside when his cheeks turned pink.

"I-I'm sorry...again...I didn't mean to..."

"Dont be." Amethyst was looking away when Taehyun spoke. She sighed. "I guess the only thing that's different is that I didn't make an excuse to run away this time...actually, I don't think I need to."

"What does that mean?" Taehyun thought of what she said and took it the wrong way. "Are you going to do everything in your power to never see me again?"

"No..." Amethyst didn't think that would be the response she'd get. "I was actually thinking of...being a better person to you. A friend."

"Really? Do you mean it?"

"I truly mean it. I think I should be friends with the first person I met when I moved here. I think I should be friends with someone who has always been there for me. I think I should be friends with someone who support me." Amethyst said. "But...I owe you a lot."

"You don't owe me anything. Your friendship is more than enough." Taehyun smiled.

"No, I owe you." Amethyst looked down to think for a moment. "Let's go out to eat. I'll pay."

"You don't owe me." Taehyun shook his head. "I like the idea though. But I'll pay."

"Pabo." Amethyst said jokingly. Taehyun knew this time that Amethyst was only messing around, which made him happy.

The two friends have finished eating, currently just walking around to who knows where. The day is slowly becoming night, with the sun still barely out in the sky. Taehyun looked at an area next to him and had an idea. He grabbed Amethyst's hand and started to drag her.

"Let's go."

"Wha- where?!" Amethyst tripped a few times before gaining balance to start running regularly.

After a few seconds of running, they stopped their tracks, coming to a large open area that's only grass. Taehyun let go of Amethyst to run a few step forward and sat down on the grass. Taehyun looked at Amethyst and motioned her to come by. Amethyst walked over and sat down next to her friend.

"What are we doing here?"

"Waiting for the sun to go down."

"Why?"

"To see the stars. This is the best place to see them, at least to me." Taehyun smiled.

Silence fell between them. Amethyst started to think to herself, mainly about her own self. Was she always this mean to someone in the past? She never remembers being mean before. Why was Taehyun any different? She looked at him, thinking of what could have triggered her to be so mean to him. She tried to think back to when she first snapped. But even then, nothing leads to Taehyun himself. All she remembers was being angry at herself and other past events, but never at Taehyun.

"Amethyst?" Taehyun noticed that she was staring at him. "Ya! Amethyst!"

"Hmm?" Amethyst snapped out of it.

"What are you thinking about?"

"Oh..." Amethyst turned pink. "Nothing..."

"I don't buy that. Please tell me." Taehyun said.

"It was nothing...really..."

"Tell meeeee." Taehyun started to beg. "Or I'll poke you."

"Poke me? What are you? Five?" Amethyst tried not to laugh.

Taehyun poked Amethyst's shoulder lightly a few times, with a few seconds of rest between each poke. While poking her, Taehyun had this innocent, yet, adorable look on his face. Amethyst started to giggle, but she didn't give in. "I'm not telling you."

"I'll do puppy eyes then." Taehyun jokingly threatened, already making the expression on his face.

"Oh goodness no." Amethyst said, looking at Taehyun. Taehyun kept the puppy eye look on his face, moving closer to her.

"Wow, you got problems." Amethyst started to move away, trying hard to keep her giggles in.

"No, don't leave meeeee." Taehyun grabbed Amethyst's arm, pulling her back.

Amethyst wouldn't let Taehyun get his way, still trying to move away from him. She let out a few giggles, but at the same time, kept telling Taehyun to leave her alone.

"I'll do aegyo." Taehyun made another threat jokingly, still holding onto Amethyst's arm. "Don't make me do aegyo."

"Oh no..." Amethyst said under her breath, stopped trying to get herself free for a second.

"Amethy, please don't leave me. Pleaseeee? I don't want to be lonely." Taehyun shook Amethyst's arm.

"What kind of name is 'Amethy?'"

Taehyun buried his head into her arm, trying to be all cute. Amethyst almost gave in, but she needed to resist it. She started to move away again, laughing.

"Pwease, Amethy? Taehyunnie doesn't want his fwiend to go bye bye." Taehyun said in a cutie-like voice, showing puppy eyes again.

"Awww..." Amethyst gave in, laughing. "Alright, you win. I won't leave."

"Victory!" Taehyun cheered for himself. Amethyst continued to laugh.

"Oh, look! Stars!" Taehyun said looking up.

Amethyst looked up too, and she was in awe. There a bunch of stars in the sky, and it looked better that it was a clear night.

"I found this place when I was little." Taehyun started to speak. "I love stars. I love being out here on a clear day, not too hot, not too cold, and watch the stars. Sometimes, I come to this exact spot just to enjoy the sky. But sometimes, I'll come here to run away. I don't want to trouble others with my problems, so I'll come here and cry. Then afterward, I'll lay down and watch the sky above me. I haven't been here for a while now since I have my own house to cry in. But there are times that I will come out here and admire the sky's beauty."

That's really deep....Amethyst thought to herself as she listened. She looked at him, and started to think something completely off topic. Would I be happy with you?

Taehyun sighed then laid down, Amethyst looking at him confused. Taehyun patted next to him, wanting her lay down too. Amethyst was about to lay down, when she was stopped by her friend.

"What?"

"My arm isn't out here for no reason."

Amethyst looked at Taehyun's arm that is stretched out next to him. Amethyst started to laugh a bit. "I don't want my big head to cut off the circulation in your arm."

"If your big head is going to cut off my circulation, then so be it." Taehyun smiled.

Amethyst laughed some more, then gave in, resting her head on Taehyun's arm. She still was a little hesitant at first, but she eventually relaxed. The two watching the sky above, looking at the stars that hang there, twinkling brightly.

"This is nice." Amethyst said. Taehyun hummed in agreement.

"Taehyun?"

"Yes?"

"Can you call me that nickname again? You know...that one from a while ago?"

"Ame?"

"Mhm...I like it." Amethyst smiled at hearing her nickname. "I hope it's okay that I call you 'Tae' sometimes."

"Of course."

Silence fell again. Amethyst looked at him again, thinking about what she was thinking earlier. Everything about Taehyun is perfect. She doesn't need to list all the things again, she just knows that he's perfect. He did nothing but be nice and help her. He even saved her from taking her life. She wished she had other friends like Taehyun. But at the same time, Taehyun is one of a kind. And even though she met him on accident at Starbucks, and going to the same university is a coincidence, she is glad that it happened, and that they're now friends. She smiled to herself, and looked back at the stars.

Yeah...I can definitely see myself being happy...

After an hour, the two decided to go home for the night. Taehyun insist that Amethyst should go home first, since he wants her to be safe. As they walked, Amethyst was in deep thought. She didn't look too well either, which made Taehyun curious.

"What's wrong?"

Amethyst looked at Taehyun for a second then looked back down. "Just thinking."

"Same thing from earlier?"

Amethyst nodded. "I'm just thinking how I don't deserve you."

"Why?"

"It doesn't make sense." Amethyst stopped in her tracks. "I've done everything wrong. I was never this mean to anyone before. Plus, you never done anything wrong, so I have no idea why I snapped at you. I guess I was caught up in my past and my future that my anger broke out. I didn't want it to happen like this. I didn't want to hurt you."

"It's all good-"

"I wish that I didn't compare you to my other friends. I wish that I've told you what was wrong the first time you asked me."

"It's okay-"

"I didn't want to drive you away because of something that happened to me a few years ago. I didn't want to hurt you badly, I didn't want to make you cry." Amethyst kept cutting Taehyun off, starting to feel tears coming out of her eyes.

"Amethyst-"

"I'm sorry, Taehyun. I didn't know how fragile your heart is. I wish this never happened. I wish I was a good friend from the beginning." Amethyst broke down. "I'm sorry. This is all my fault. Mianheyo, mianheyo, mianheyo..."

Amethyst kept apologizing over and over, and her break down is so bad that it's hard to understand her, whether it was English or Korean. Taehyun hates seeing Amethyst cry, it tears him apart. Right now, due to her crying and barely making any words, Taehyun hugged her tightly. Amethyst buried her head into his shirt, not being able to control her tears. Again, Amethyst felt something in this hug. She feels....forgiveness. She always wonders how a hug can have so much emotion to it.

Don't cry, everything is alright now...

Taehyun started to sing softly as he starts to rock Amethyst side to side, trying to calm her. Amethyst listened carefully, which made her forgot she was crying and stopped her tears. She doesn't know if Taehyun is coming up with the song on the spot or if it's real, but it sounds heavenly and calming. This time, for the first time, Amethyst hugged her friend back. At first, it really surprised Taehyun to be hugged back, making his heart go dugeun, dugeun, dugeun, dugeun. But after a moment, he really appreciated it, and knew that the Amethyst he met was back for good.
