It's been a month, and Taehyun and Amethyst had no interaction with each other. Each time Taehyun would try to stop her, she would quickly walk away. He had no idea if it was out of hatred, that accidental kiss, or both. He tried to apologize many times, but it wouldn't get through to her. Honestly, each rejection hurts him more and more. He feels that at any moment, he was going to crack.

But people didn't think of Taehyun as the cry baby. People think of him as a strong person, who always smiles and would do anything to cheer someone up. He's smart and good looking, no one saw a single flaw in him. But little do they know, the one who is the most happy is the one who is the most hurt, and it's actually easy to break Taehyun. If people are fooled by his smile and strong image, he's doing a good job at it.

At this point, Taehyun would do anything to make Amethyst listen to him. She doesn't even have to forgive him, but he doesn't want her to hates his guts forever. He still hasn't given up on her, he believes that she will be the same person he met nearly a month ago.

It was another Saturday, and Taehyun decided to give up with Amethyst for a while. He needs to time to heal himself from all the rejections she has given him. He walked the streets of Seoul, instead of going for a drive, head hanging low, but still paying attention, and in deep thought.

One time he looked up, and it had to be a coincidence. Amethyst was walking the opposite direction of the park. He debated whether or not to stop her, but his mind automatically went with stopping her. Taehyun stopped her by grabbing her shoulders, which scared her. When she saw it was him, she tried to pass him up, but he wouldn't let her. This went on for about three or four tries.

"Bikyeo!" Amethyst yelled.

"Aniyo!" Taehyun yelled back. Another thing that scared Amethyst, since she never heard him yell before.

"Stop it, really. I don't want to see you right now. Actually, I don't want to see you ever again. Just freaking graduate already and leave my life."

"Do you even know what you're saying could hurt another person?" Taehyun didn't like how Amethyst is being. "I have feelings you know. What you're saying and how you're treating me actually hurts."

"Triphenylphosphinebispyridinethiocyanatocopper."

"Excuse me?" Taehyun didn't know how to respond to such a word.

"You don't know what it means." Amethyst was trying to make Taehyun look stupid.

"It's a chemistry term. It's actually a bunch of chemistry terms to form one word." Taehyun said. "You didn't know that right?"

He's too smart for someone who's....smart. Amethyst couldn't think of a way to insult him, especially since she doesn't know the meaning of the word herself, just how to pronounce it.

"Amethyst, all I want is to be a friend to you. I don't know what is making you so upset or why, but that's why I want you to tell me, so I can see if I can help you. I don't know what I did to deserve any of this."

"It's because you're annoying." Amethyst said.

"How? By being a friend and actually caring for you? If that's annoying, then I'm glad that I'm annoying you."

The two were silent for a few minutes. Taehyun is not a 'fighting' type person, he never was. But he hopes that Amethyst realizes what she's doing is wrong.

"And also, as someone who is older than you, you should treat me with respect." Taehyun said in a low like voice, scared of Amethyst's response.

"Respect?" Amethyst asked in English, and chuckled like it was a joke. She continued in Korean, "Look, I use formal language with you. But that's all the respect you're going to get from me. Okay?"

Taehyun felt like his heart literally shattered in front of him by Amethyst. He grew very quiet and looked down, his eyes looking to the side, avoiding any contact with her.

"What? What's that look for?" Amethyst become annoyed when he didn't speak.

Taehyun continued to stay silent. It was finally that moment it time, when he was pushed too far and that strong image he had fell apart. He tried to hold back his tears, but it failed when Amethyst noticed a single falling from one of his eyes.

"What? Are you going to cry now?" she asked harshly.

Taehyun didn't noticed when a tear fell, and felt embarrassed about it. He didn't want anyone to see him cry, and have Amethyst criticize him for it, so he walked away from her.

"Hey! Hey! Taehyun!" Amethyst called out. "YA!"

But Taehyun wouldn't turn back. He doesn't dare to turn back, and he refused to cry until he can find a private area where no one would find him for a while. But out in public in Seoul, it's hard to find a place to be alone. The only place he could think of to cry was at home, and that's what he did.

He went back home and as soon as he closed the front door, he slid down to sit on the ground, and finally let out his cry. All the hurt he has been bottling up for the past month is now coming out of him in forms of tears. It's interesting, the one who he likes is the same person who he got hurt by. But no matter how much he tries to start denying, he still likes her regardless of how he was treated lately.

Everything may hurt now, but he's still not giving up. He truly believes that Amethyst can change back to the girl he met before school started. That she's only angry and upset at something and that she needs someone to be there for her. She needs someone who she can trust. Taehyun wants to be that person, and he will continue to find ways to break down the walls surrounding her. Being angry and upset for this long is not good, and it will eventually drain her out, or worse, if everything doesn't get solved soon.
