The next hour was tough. Amethyst has to come up with a good enough song to be performed perfectly at the first try. She was going to do a cover of a song she likes, but because of guilt, she needed to make an original song. This is for Taehyun, he deserves it. She owes him a lot. The cover song she originally had was only on piano, plus her singing. But this time, the genre is different. A happy song, an encouraging song, with an upbeat tone, sounding of a bit of rock, ninety-nine percent of it is in Korean. Would Taehyun like it?

She started to have doubts again. What if Taehyun is not there when she performs? What if he goes and does something else? Amethyst shook her head, there is no time to think that. She wrote her song, it was nearly done. She smiled at how it turned out, but now she needs to practice. The only thing she had was a piano. It's good enough. She tried to play a pop-rock song on the piano, which was fun to be honest. She maybe had a little too much fun with it, smiling like a goofball, but it was worth the one hour.

The hour was up. Amethyst was ready to give this new song a try. She walked back the auditorium and was on her way to backstage, when she saw Taehyun walking, but she doesn't know where he was going.

"Taehyun!" Amethyst ran up to him.

"Hey." Taehyun responded, but barely. His voice was low and quiet, which hurt Amethyst.

"You did great earlier. Good job." Amethyst tried lighten up the mood. "I see you're rocking that style you occasionally wear again. Looking good."

"Thanks." Taehyun smiled, but she could tell that it was heartbreakingly fake.

"I'm about to go up. You're going to watch, right?" Amethyst hoped.

"I wouldn't miss it for the world."

Amethyst let out a sigh of relief. He doesn't know what's coming...this is exciting. But at the same time, will he forgive her in the end? Or would she feel like she did this for no reason? Her worry must have been showing, because Taehyun grabbed onto her shoulder.

"You got this." He slightly shook her shoulder then left.

There he goes again...being encouraging for me while he's hurting...because of me...Amethyst didn't understand. But she has to get that thought out of her head. She went to the backstage, and had to do a last minute change to have a band play for her new song. There was enough time to go through it once. Amethyst actually had fun, and loved her new song. But this isn't about her, this is about Taehyun, and that makes her nervous.

The stage was ready and Amethyst made her way there. While things are still being set up, she took the time to look for Taehyun. She spotted him sitting in the very back, and he still didn't look very happy. She sighed, she needed to say something, she needs to say it now. She took the time during set up to speak directly to Taehyun, but she tried to cover it by not using his name so no one knows who she is talking about.

"Before I perform. I need to say something, and it's necessary that I say it now. I have this special person in my life. I don't know why, but I was always mean to him, while he did nothing. And because of that, even if he's not here, I wanted to say..." Amethyst knew he was there, but she tried to not be obvious about it. "Mianhaeyo."

Taehyun sat up, eyes widen from what Amethyst was saying. He knew it was directed to him, he needed to listen to this.

"And I'm not just saying that. I'm genuinely sorry with all my heart. I was going to sing a cover song today, but instead, I've spent the last hour or so coming up with a new song written by me. Because of this special person, I wrote this song. Even though I was so rude and disrespectful to him, he was so caring and kind. And when I was ready to give up my dream, he wouldn't let me do it. He encouraged me...he comforted me. Even though he was in the world of hurt, he never fails to be there for me, and that means the world to me. What he has done sparked my inspiration for this song....and I dedicate it to him."

The song began, and Amethyst started to sing after a few seconds.

Amethyst sang the last chorus of the song, and received many applauds. Trying to not make it obvious, she pointed to Taehyun with her figure, still holding the microphone. Confused, Taehyun pointed to himself. She nodded once and pointed to the door, meaning she wants to meet him after she gets off stage. She put the microphone back on the stand and walked backstage.

Amethyst took time for herself before going back out to meet Taehyun. She was preparing for both the good and the worse, just in case. A million questions were going through her head, mainly about whether or not Taehyun would accept her again. Her heart pounded in her chest as she went outside to meet with her friend, or she hopes her friend.

She saw him, and Taehyun saw her. She nearly ran to him to meet up. For a moment, they celebrated each others performance, telling each other they did good today. Amethyst felt joy when she seen that Taehyun doesn't look hurt, at least not as much as he was.

"You did great. Didn't I tell you that you got it?" Taehyun touched her shoulders, shaking her lightly. "Thank you...for that song."

"You're welcome...but..." Amethyst didn't want to ruin the happy mood, but she needs to for at least a moment.

"But what?"

"Look, I just feel so bad. I can't believe I was hurting you this badly and I didn't notice."

"It's alright. I forgive you wholeheartedly." Taehyun smiled.

"That means a lot to me, but..." Amethyst made Taehyun let go of her shoulders. "...there's something I need to know. I was hurting you over and over, but you didn't let me go. Why?"

Well...one of the reasons...I can't tell you...at least not now. Taehyun thought. "Because you needed someone, and I knew, at least right now, you have no one. Remember everything I told you? I sincerely meant everything. Yes, at lot of things you said hurt me. Yes, there were days that I cried, besides the one day you saw me do so. But I knew that you were hurting yourself, and I couldn't bring myself to leave you behind in the state you're in. And even though you were constantly disrespecting me and being rude, I've always forgiven you with a big heart, even on days you didn't apologize."

...You're seriously the sweetest, most kindest person I know...I don't know if I can handle your perfection any longer...Amethyst thought, and this time, she really meant what she thought.

"But Taehyun, you deserve a better friend. You deserve someone who would be a perfect friend." Amethyst has tears rolling down her cheeks.
