Description
The next day came soon enough, Amethyst was literally jumping for joy when she got out of bed. She has never been this excited for school before. But when it comes to a completely different school setting, she couldn't wait.Amethyst was set a ready to go. She walked to the bus stop, since just walking would be a little too far. She took the bus to a certain stop, and then got off to walk the rest of the way there. When she got there, she stood in front of the sign that said 'Seoul National University' on it. She smiled and continued to walk onto the campus.
Her first class was computer science, which is not really a good thing. But Amethyst would rather get the hardest done first so she can have the rest of the day to be in classes she actually enjoy, like art related classes.
She got through her first three classes with no problem, and noticed that she had an hour before her next one starts. She decided to go to the school's cafe to hang out for a bit, to enjoy some coffee and study something for one of her classes. When she walked to the cafe, she noticed someone sitting at one of the tables. She had to really look at them before making assumptions, but her eyes didn't fool her. The person she saw was Taehyun. Taehyun must of noticed her too, because he looked just as shocked as her. But then he smiled and motioned for her to come to him.
Amethyst, a little bit shy, came to the table he was at.
"Annyeonghaseyo...erm...how old are you?"
"Twenty-two." Taehyun answerd.
Amethyst blushed a bit. "A-annyeonghaseyo, O-Oppa." Amethyst thought he was, at the most, the same age as her. He looks so young. Also, twenty-two? Did he start school late?
Taehyun laughed at Amethyst's reaction. He then pointed to the chair at the other side of the table. "Sit there."
Amethyst took a seat. She's still surprised to see him here. "I didn't know you go to school here, Oppa...or at all. You look so young but your age...."
"I'm flattered." Taehyun smiled. "It's my fourth year here. What about you?"
"Third year...but I went to a small university in America for two years before coming here."
"You transferred here? I wish I knew all of this when we ran into each other a week ago!"
Taehyun was talking to Amethyst like they've been friends for a long time. Then again, he could be just being nice because she's new to the country. She then noticed the textbooks that were on the table. She read them, most, if not all, had the word 'advanced' on it.
"These books don't look friendly at all...are you in honors college or something?"
"You can say that. And being the second best in the whole class." Taehyun responded.
Can this guy be anymore perfect? Amethyst thought to herself. He looks good, he's friendly, he's smart and his English is perfect...there can't be anything else...it's impossible.
"It's nice to meet you again. I have a class to go to." Taehyun said as he got up, then smiled. "I am looking forward to our next meeting. See you soon!"
Amethyst is now alone in the cafe, still shocked about this guy that doesn't seem to have any flaws. When she thought about it, she never mentioned her name, but Taehyun was already long gone when she thought about it.

At the end of the day, Amethyst decided to stay on campus for a bit to explore some more. She was walking down the hall until she spotted a room that had a see through glass door. Inside was a piano, and when she saw it, she suddenly felt inspired since she hadn't touched a piano since days before she left America. She opened the door, went inside and closed the door. She touched the piano. An amazing feeling came to her. She sat upon the chair and played a few chords, then hummed along with it. Soon enough, she began to play and sing to a song she knows.
You might be crazy...
But have I told you lately...
That I love you...
You're the only reason that I'm not afraid to fly...
Amethyst was minding her own business, losing herself in the song. Taehyun was walking down the hall, about to leave the school until he heard a song coming from the piano room. The peeked through the glass door, and was surprised to see Amethyst there, singing and playing the piano. It sounded like Heaven to his ears. He slightly opened the door, trying to not disturb the singing girl. She sounded much better when there wasn't a glass door blocking out the real sound. Amethyst sang the chorus again. And she was smiling.
When the second part of the chorus came in, Taehyun decided to join in. Amethyst was caught off guard, making her stop singing, but continued to play the piano as the boy sang the rest of the chorus. When the singing was done, Taehyun somehow made his way to Amethyst, standing next to her, and she seemed surprised.
No, seriously, can this guy be anymore perfect? Amethyst thought the same as she did earlier. She thought his voice was heavenly.
"I didn't know you sing." Taehyun said.
"I could say the same to you." Amethyst said back.
"I love singing." Taehyun admitted. "Here. Move over."
Amethyst moved down a bit from the chair to let Taehyun have a seat also. He played a chord and hummed to it. And...just as I thought you couldn't be anymore perfect...Amethyst thought yet again.
"Can you sing in harmony?" Taehyun asked.
Amethyst nodded. Taehyun started to play the same song she was singing earlier, starting at the beginning. She stayed silent, thinking of a good time to sing. When Taehyun got to the chorus, he looked at her and nodded. Amethyst smiled and started to sing in harmony with him. They traded parts in the song, so they have an equal amount of solo time, but they sang every chorus and the last line of the third verse of the song in harmony together.
The song was over, but it was obvious that they didn't want to end it there. This time, Amethyst took the piano and picked another song they both knew. This went on for about an hour, singing together and playing the piano, singing both slow and upbeat songs, both in English and Korean.
It was only the first day of school, and Amethyst loved it already.

Later that night at home, Amethyst was still awake working on a new song. It was really stressing her out, especially since she didn't have a piano to work with at her own home for the time being. She kept writing songs in English, and then in Korean, and back and forth, but nothing was working out. She grew more frustrated as no more thoughts are coming to her.
She started to think of her worst fear, not being a good enough singer. She started to think of all these worst case scenarios. What if she moved to Korea for no reason? What if she is not as good as she thinks she is? What if wherever she goes rejects her? All of these thoughts are destroying her and it doesn't help that she stressed out and frustrated either. And no one is there to support her, as a person or as a singer.
She decided to give up writing a new song for the night and went to bed feeling terrible.
Here, Amethyst may not be the same sweet person again.
