So if anyone has seen my latest journal you've already heard how proud I am of this little project right here, hair is one of my favorite things to draw ... And it's one of Ann's favorite things to hear me talk about.

And since I'm talking about it then I might as well type this shit out. amirite?

So hair is so fluid, not even fluid... Because it has a heavy consistency and yet it can just be so light.
It's like water, hair has no real shape and you can form into whatever the mood calls for.
It can be fire, blazing and rapid in the air, flowing and dangerous.
It can be water, calm and smooth, falling down the shoulders like a waterfall.
It can be earth, heavy and thick, natural ... beautiful.

I love hair and it's possibilities.

So I guess my next challenge is making beautiful pictures without hair.

Art is really the one zone where someone says "I challenge you" And I like to say "I accept." Just because I want to improve so much, I want so much to further myself, I want to be in college sitting there and being forced to draw or paint in a different style, I want so much to hurtle over something else because there is so much left to discover in art and I love that. I love how once I've crossed one horizon, I can journey to one with much more magnificence.
