Description
So... just another old piece. Done in 1998 and inspired by the SlaΓne series (Mills/Bisley), I fear it has more than a little Bisley and Sharp in it. Ferocious Gaelic warriors, male and female their equals, equipment and clothing a mix of almost 2000 years... well, pure fantasy, but fun!I recently added some detail to the sky, all else is done by hand. Now I think it can go here.
Ink and fineliner.

Have any trade paperbacks been released for Slaine or is it still single issues?

There have been several paperback editions in soft- and hardcover. Check amazon.com, go for Slaine: The Horned God by Mills & Bisley.

Tell me, do you make this kind of inking with pen, brush or quill?
Its a very nice picture, I particularly like the iconographic animals and standing stones that fill in the background.

Thank you very much
Pen usually, quill sometimes.
I rarely use brushes on a black & white picture, sadly...

I really like how the female warrior is not standing behind him- it's so typical that there is a woman that looks weak, pathetic, and some sort of damsel thing. Not the case here Sexy couple

Her top is incredible! It would make Conan lost his combat focus

Yes, I can assure you: it's a hard thing fighting a woman in that kind of outfit! There are times you have better chances fighting blindfold.

More in a duel I'd think; in a battle you usually do not pay that attention to personal detail, more to movement in general. But we may speculate, if Celtic amazons like Scathach ever truly existed, what distress that might have caused to the Roman legionares and their discipline.

Hahahahahahahah
All romans became hoplites, with their "spears" pointing to the amazons
