Description
This one is a kind of a fan piece, somewhat based on a Luis Royo painting - I stole the couple's pose, which I still like very much. Done in 2002 with fineliner, colour pencils, and some photoshop. This is one of the first pictures I did using digital media, so it shows - I messed with the horizontal landscape and the sea's colour turned out a little strange.
The guy's equipment is roughly 7th century Scandinavian or Anglo-Saxon. The girl's chain mail stockings are pure fantasy stuff.
The title refers to a line from the excellent movie "Rob Roy" - but even if you don't know the scene, you will get the implication
