Description
this is my character Sprague ((pronounced "SPRAYG", one syllable)). ive had him a few years now and despite being a relatively minor character in the story hes from, i really like this guy a lot. im revamping the plot of the story hes from so he can play a bigger role. he spews out toxic goo from his mouth :3 its cool. Sprague is the leader of a small group of dogs who are hunting down another character in the story hes from and hes a bit of an antihero. his closest allies are two other very messed up dogs ((like everyone in that story)) named Tenzin and Contrast. the shallow gene pool of Sprague's breed has given him a bit of a bad temperment and some obvious physical weaknesses, which he tries to hide using his toxic goop and his strategic mind.

i actually spent much of today doing anatomy study on Bernese mountain dogs ((Sprague's breed)) so i went ahead and drew him anatomically correct on a ref sheet. might as well since the body shape is in my head pretty strong at moment. i really love the anatomy of dogs. every breed is unique and theres hundreds of breeds... so there is almost no way to get sick of them since theres always one more breed you havent looked at yet. the Bernese mountain dog is fun to draw since they are an interesting twist on mastiffs, their ancestors, and i quite enjoy drawing the more muscular, robust anatomy.
