Sematick Imperium
Formed from the ancestors of those who were left behind to die on Saqura, the Sematick Imperium is an empire that focuses heavily on its military, with one goal in mind, revenge against those who left them to die on Saqura.

The first few years after the fleet left was hard for those who had been left behind. Crops kept failing, the planet was deteriorating, food was running out, resources were depleted, and sadly, cannibalism was unfortunately common. During these dark times a death cult formed, it had no name, but it was recognised by the symbol of their home world. This cult grew and grew until it had over fifty-thousand members, then, they collectivity committed ritualistic suicide, sacrificing their very souls to the planet itself in the hope to revive it.

Those who were not a part of the cult saw them as a bunch of lunatics but were grateful that they killed themselves, as they would no longer be a drain on their already dwindling supplies. Not believing for a second that what they were doing would work, until it did.

The week after the mass suicide the planet started to heal, plants became green again, crops grew in an instant and all the wildlife that had perished returned. The planet had healed, and as it turned out, their home was not an ordinary planet, it was alive. Saqura was a sentient world, a mother, to the entire Sematick species. Like any good mother, she prepared them the best she could for when she could no longer care for them, even going so far as push them towards a new home, but was unable to stop greed corrupting it, and could only watch as billions were left behind to die. And whilst Saqura was saddened by the mass suicide of so many people giving up their souls to her, she could not refuse what is given to her willingly.

The next century saw the Sematicks rebuild their species on Saqura, renaming themselves the Sematick Imperium, with the end goal of getting revenge on those who left them behind to die, with Augast Laandracck, the man who single-handedly kept those left behind together, being proclaimed emperor of the Imperium. The expansion of their empire also came with an expansion to its military, its soldiers highly trained, and its ships built for war. The Imperium takes its military seriously, whilst they don't have mandatory military service, they are required to give people a basic understanding of how the military works, as well as familiarity with how to properly use and maintain firearms. As a result, their entire population understands the basics of how the military works and how to fight, allowing them to muster a large army quickly.

Another thing the Imperium does is focus on improving their species' telepathic abilities, something their mother Saqura wanted them to improve on. The constant training of their abilities allowed them to become stronger, to read deep into a person's mind, as well as move things just by thinking about it, making them significantly stronger than those who left them to die.

The Sematick Imperium continued to expand, using its military might to conquer its weaker neighbours. Giving them more races under their command and more forces to call for their impending war with the Sematick Federal Republic.

When they found the Republic, they were shocked to find that they were four times as large as the Imperium, and were surrounded by members of the Intergalactic Federation of Awakened planets, an oddly named alliance that the Republic was a part of. Realising that they could not take on the entire Federation, even with their many vassals, they entered negotiations with another empire, The United Kingdom of Planets, which they previously had left alone. They did not want a war with them, but an alliance with them would prove useful. So, after some negotiations, they formed the Abyss Cloud Alliance, which also attracted several other races to join.

Now with a few allies behind them, the Sematick Imperium sat back and waited, building up its forces for the inevitable invasion of the Sematick Federal Republic. Their new allies would not be happy if they started a war so soon, plus they had a third faction to worry about, the Odysseus Cloud Trade League. But, the Imperium has waited five hundred years for their revenge, and they can wait for another five hundred.
