What, you expect me to remember EVERY movie that uses the power of excessive crying to save the day? I just picked the first one that came to mind.

Nope. I just hate comparisons, especially when it involves a trope that has been done a hundred times over.

After just discovering this comic today, I became hooked enough to read through all 237 pages you currently have posted in the span of about three hours, and I now eagerly await its continuation as I go back to read it again! This incredibly suspenseful, dark, yet engrossing story and artwork have truly captivated me.
Please continue to be amazing!

it was just that i thought of the scene in Harry Potter 2 where Fawkes the Phoenix healed Harrys arm and then i remembered that Celestia has a pet phoenix.

Whew! And Celestia's tears of Photoshop have restored the color saturation in Twilight's color scheme! *shot*
Very nice update here, I really didn't think good ol' Twily would kick the bucket even after Starflare nearly sucked the life from her. Though I bet that dastardly Professor had enough time to escape by now? In any case, don't spoil it for me...I'd really like to see what you have in store next.

SHE LIVES
You know, when Celestia took Twilight as her student, she gained a loyal ally, a surrogate daughter, and somepony worthy to converse with intellectually
However, Celestia also shortned her lifespan by a few centuries due to constant near heart failure over Twilight's well being

Considering Celestia is theoretically immortal, as we have never seen her age, though she was at the very least mature enough to run a country within the last 1100 to 1200 years (Immediately post-discordian)...
I think you may be right. How long do you think 'Tia has left?

Over 1,000 years old and she doesn't look a day over 300 XD
I...can't even begin to imagine xp I wonder if the show will ever give us hints as to the aging/lifespan of regular ponies, let alone Celly and Luna?

We know Granny Smith's pushing 70-90, assuming a logical town growth and that she was a young filly when Ponyville was just started. I think I heard a reference to her age in the episode with the fruit bats, but I dunno.
She could be as old as a hundred and ten, considering Earth pony resilience.

I don't even remember a fruit bats episode ^_^;
I think Ponyville was founded "hundreds of yeas ago" so yeah, they haven't exactly given us a clear timeframe O_o

Holy Gods, Granny's old!
Let's see, the wiki says that Sweet Apple Acres is the farmland Celestia gave them, and that the town would have sprung up within about two to five years (Enough time to discover and jam zap apples, plus Stinkin's stand and then permanent residents, two years is pretty fast, though.), which means Granny Smith is only a few years older than the orchard, which Sweet Apple Acres seems to be a large average orchard, not quite a plantation, but still pretty big. It should have taken 80-90 years to put something that big together, and supposedly the older orchards are right next to the house, which the trees look to be about sixty to 70, though the animators do use a generic tree, which just happens to fit the timeline.
She's also known to be a bit senile, so what seems like hundreds of years may have just been a few dozen.
My estimate to Granny Smith's age: (Assuming 15-20 at the time of settlement) 85-110
It was in Season 3, Apple Family Reunion. The fruit bats were a cool thing that went a bit crazy.

Ever heard or played world of warcraft the frozen throne? The helm and sword, Frostmourne, of the Lich King also had a being that only a voice can be heard by Arthas...Not sure if thats a good reference, considering that made Arthas go mad becuz of it.
